Cardi B is officially a mother of four after welcoming her first baby with boyfriend Stefon Diggs.
The music star, 33, announced the news via an Instagram post on Thursday, November 13, where she revealed she had welcomed “a new baby into the world.”
“My life has always been a combination of different chapters and different seasons. My last chapter was the beginning of a new season. Starting over is never easy but it’s been so worth it! I brought new music and a new album to the world! A new baby into my world, and one more reason to be the best version of me, one more reason to love me more than anything else or anyone else so I can continue giving my babies the love and life they deserve,” she wrote via the post’s caption.
She added, “This next chapter is Me vs. Me! It’s me against all odds, me against everything meant to get in my way. I’ve started prepping for tour, getting my body right, getting my mind right. There’s nothing that’s gonna stop me from giving you guys the performance of a life time! I’ve learned, I’ve healed, and I’m loving the woman I’ve become! That’s what this next era means to me and I’m stepping into it better than ever.”
The rapper previously welcomed daughter Kulture in July 2018, son Wave in September 2021 and daughter Blossom in September 2024. She shares her three older children with Offset.
Cardi confirmed in September 2025 that she and Diggs were expecting, revealing during a CBS Mornings interview, “I am having a baby with my boyfriend.”
Diggs subtly addressed the news when asked about “the baby rumors” during an NFL press conference at the time.
“Oh, my personal life?” he said. “I told you about that. We won’t talk too much about my personal life, but I heard about that.”
When pressed about whether he planned to celebrate his and Cardi’s impending arrival in the locker room with his New England Patriots teammates, Diggs coyly responded, “We’ll see.”
Diggs later commented on Cardi’s Instagram account, declaring that he was “100 percent team boy.”
Later that month, Cardi hinted that she was on the same page as Diggs when it came to their baby’s sex, referencing the topic in the risqué lyrics of her song “On My Back.”
“I be staring in your eyes through the whole day / I swear to God, I hope our kids have your whole face / Take these clothes off and throw ‘em on the floor / I told my girl I’m ‘bout to give this man a boy / Throw me on my back,” the lyrics read.
Elsewhere in her CBS Mornings interview, Cardi offered some rare insight into her relationship with Diggs, to whom she was first linked in 2024.
“I feel like I’m in a good space. I feel very strong,” she said. “I feel very powerful that I’m doing all this work. But I’m doing all this work while I’m creating a baby, and me and my man, we’re very supportive of each other.”
According to Cardi, Diggs makes her “feel safe and very confident and very strong.”
“It makes you feel like you could take over the world,” she said. “[He told me when we started dating], ‘Let me heal you. Give me a chance for me to heal you.’”
Cardi added that she wanted to “close some deals first” before publicly sharing her pregnancy news but she was eager to welcome her fourth baby.
As for the couple’s future, Cardi teased during a September 2025 appearance on Today that she was open to taking the next step with Diggs.
“I would get married again. I believe in love,” she said. “I’m a hopeless romantic.”
As she prepared for the arrival of her fourth baby, Cardi opened up about her past childbirth experiences, divulging that she suffered vaginal tearing during her first two deliveries.
“It was hard,” she recalled on a September 2025 episode of the “Breakfast Club” podcast. “But that’s what I’m saying — now things are just a little different and I’m more experienced. Like, the third one was so easy, so I’m expecting this one to be as easy as well, in the name of the Lord. That’s why I’m like, ‘I just did it last year. I can do it [again].’”
