Billionaire heiress Phoebe Gates was spotted wearing a fabulous mini dress on her 21st birthday in New York City.
Phoebe is the youngest daughter of tech mogul Bill Gates and his ex-wife Melinda Gates, and she isn’t shying away from the spotlight.
The Stanford student currently has over 300,000 followers on Instagram, 70,000 on TikTok and she shares with her followers her love of fashion, feminism and selfies.
She’s already made it clear she’s keen to carve out her own path.
“OK, I’m my parents’ daughter, that gives me immense privilege, but it’s not what I’m defined by,” she expressed to WWD.
For her milestone birthday, she was spotted in a mini pink dress, nude heels and her hair was pulled back into a ponytail.
She looked like the third Jenner sister as she stepped out with both her famous parents, with her dad even taking to Instagram to pay tribute to his youngest child and share some sweet snaps of her growing up.
“You’ll always be my little girl, but watching you do big things has never surprised me. I’m so proud of you,” the billionaire wrote.
A quick scan of Phoebe’s social media gives you a significant glimpse into the world of what it is like to be a modern-day heiress.
Her Instagram looks just like any other young girls except there’s a whiff of wealth that is impossible to relate to.
Her feed is filled with the usual stuff you’d expect. Photos of her with friends, flattering selfies and birthday tributes to her family members – but all have the added ingredients of fame, wealth and privilege.
There’s photos of her in various designer outfits accompanied by the caption that it was merely a “fashion week wrap-up.”
There’s a photo of her in a Versace bikini posing at some tropical location with the caption, “Thank you.”
I mean fair enough … she does have lots to be thankful for.
There’s a snap of her in a red mini dress sticking her tongue out at her boyfriend and plenty of photos revealing the fun outfits she wears to fancy events.
Among the glam shots, there’s also insight into her activism. She frequently talks about women’s reproductive health in light of the US Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe vs. Wade, which gave women the right to have abortions, aka control over their own bodies.
“American women lost the right to safe reproductive care a year ago. This decision awaken a whole new generation,” she wrote on Instagram, accompanied with a video of a protest.
On TikTok, she uses that platform to discuss women’s reproductive health and routinely speaks out about laws made to police women’s bodies.
“I know why Roe matters to me. It protected my freedom to make decisions about my own body,” she wrote in one TikTok video.
Among her activism though is the usual stuff you’d expect. TikToks that show off her winter break with friends, a whole week where she documented her workout routine and she even shares the latest fashion trends she’s loving.
It’s a firm combination of the ordinary and extraordinary. Just an average young woman online who is also a billionaire’s daughter.
