Louisiana State University’s sophomore cornerback Javien Toviano was arrested Sunday and accused of video voyeurism, the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office said.

The 19-year-old football player is accused of filming himself having sex with his girlfriend without her consent.

According to the arrest warrant, Toviano used a clock with a built-in hidden camera to secretly record the couple having sex.

The victim allegedly told police that she attempted to discuss the recordings with Toviano, but that he refused to speak with her about them.

The victim also told police that Toviano had secretly recorded them having sex in the past, and she informed him she didn’t consent to that.

According to the warrant, Toviano admitted to police in an interview that he used a hidden camera inside of a clock to record himself and his girlfriend having sex without her consent. He allegedly told police that he would place the clock-camera on their dresser prior to them going to bed.

If convicted, Toviano could face up to five years in prison and would have to register as a sex offender, according to the Louisiana state legislature.

“The student-athlete has been suspended from all team activities, in accordance with departmental policies,” LSU said in a statement.

“We will not have further comment out of respect for the legal process.”
