‘Mountainhead’ (Now Streaming)

If you miss Succession — and honestly, who doesn’t? — you can get your fix of “absurdly wealthy people fighting with each other” in this new HBO and Max movie written and directed by series creator Jesse Armstrong. Mountainhead follows a group of tech billionaires (Steve Carell, Jason Schwartzman, Cory Michael Smith, and Ramy Youssef) whose weekend getaway to a mountain chalet is disrupted as the technology they’ve helped create sows chaos throughout the world.

Summer is just about here, but HBO Max wants you to stay inside this month. Their June programming lineup is their best yet, with a great mixture of new releases, original movies, documentaries and classics returning to the streamer. But which ones should you choose to watch? That’s a trickier question than you might think, […]

All four men have ulterior motives, and the drama unfolds at an exponentially disastrous rate as world governments near collapse and the men grow increasingly exasperated and combative. An incisive social satire that could only come from Armstrong, Mountainhead may hit a little too close to home, but it’s definitely bound to provoke conversation.

‘Love Island USA’ (Now Streaming)

The viral dating show, hosted by Ariana Madix, is back on Peacock for more partner-swapping, backstabbing and sexy single shenanigans. If you’ve never watched it before, the premise is this: Contestants stay in a secluded villa, where they must be coupled up with another “Islander” to survive.

Throughout the series, they can either choose to remain with their current partner or swap them for someone else. Any Islander who remains single after a shake-up is eliminated and “dumped” from the island. The winning couple receives a grand prize of $100,000.

Love Island USA season 7 has already begun streaming on Peacock, with new episodes dropping every day except Wednesday.

‘KPop Demon Hunters’ (June 20)

This new movie from Sony Animation (the studio behind Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse) combines stunning animation with an absurd premise — three K-Pop idols (Arden Cho, Ji-young Yoo and May Hong) live a secret double life as warriors who protect the human world from demons. But when the demons step up their game by forming their own band to steal the souls of fans, the girls must fight harder than ever before to face an enormous threat.

Animation is a unique blend of visual art, technology and storytelling, but it’s too often brushed aside as “just for kids.” Of course, that’s not true, with more animated movies like The Boy and the Heron and Flow appealing to adults as well as children, if not more so. While many (though not all!) of […]

Based on the trailer, KPop Demon Hunters combines traditional anime techniques with more contemporary animation styles and integrates awesome tunes for what’s sure to be a thrilling movie with a lot of humor and heart.

‘Ironheart’ (June 24)

Ironheart has been in the works for some time now, with its release delayed several times as Marvel attempted to recapture its glory days. But after the smashing success of Thunderbolts*, perhaps Ironheart (produced by Sinners and Black Panther hitmaker Ryan Coogler) will finally have a chance to shine.

The limited series follows genius engineer Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne, reprising her role as the wielder of an Iron Man-inspired suit from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever), attempting to change the world and create something “iconic.” The official summary of the series explains that Riri finds herself wrapped up with the mysterious yet charming Parker Robbins, aka “The Hood” (Anthony Ramos, In the Heights), and entering a conflict where technology and magic are pitted against each other.

Season 4 of the Emmy-winning Hulu series is almost fully cooked, and fans can’t wait to see what Carmy (Jeremy Allen White), Richie (Ebon Moss-Bacharach), Sydney (Ayo Edebiri) and the rest of the gang will do next. With their restaurant, the Bear, now up and running, the whole team is determined to take it to the next level — not only to survive, but to thrive.
