Post Malone reportedly filed for custody of his daughter two days before his ex-fiancée, Hee Sung “Jamie” Park, submitted her motion in a separate court.

Malone, 29, submitted his petition in Utah on Monday, April 14, according to court documents obtained by multiple outlets. Park’s filing, meanwhile, was submitted in California on Wednesday, April 16.

Both Page Six and TMZ claim that since Malone (real name Austin Post) filed his documents first, that determines where the case will be heard. Both outlets also report that the “Sunflower” singer filed in Utah because that is where he and Park were initially coparenting their daughter.

While it is not known how Malone hopes to split time with the pair’s 2-year-old, Park filed for sole physical custody and joint legal custody. (Us Weekly reached out to Malone for comment.)

“It changes your life in the best way ever, and the most beautiful thing is she has a beautiful mom,” Malone said on CBS Sunday Mornings in August 2024 of becoming a father. “I’ll never forget her. If you’ve heard her cry, you’ll never forget her, either. Four years ago, I was on a rough path. It was terrible.”

The F-1 Trillion artist further gushed that he’s “written a whole lot of songs” about his little girl.

Malone proposed to Park in June 2022, publicly revealing the news one year later during his appearance on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast.

“I had lost a significant amount of money at the table, and we go upstairs and I’m, like, off my rocker hammered,” he jokingly recalled on the August 2023 episode. “I was like, ‘Hey, you wanna marry me? I got a ring and all this stuff. ’And then she said no. She’s like, ‘Ask me tomorrow.’”

The next day, when Malone was sober, he popped the question again, which yielded a better outcome.

“It was nice,” he said of Park accepting his proposal. “I’m just a terrible arbiter of romanticism, I guess.”

Malone also teased to podcast host Alex Cooper how he wanted to celebrate the eventual nuptials.

“I’d imagine an ice luge for brews that’s just steady going,” he joked. “Beer keeps being poured into it, and all my buddies are super down for the cause so they just go and take a suckle of the teat of the nectar and keep that party going. Dance moves are gonna be hopefully popping.”

Neither Malone nor Park publicly revealed when they called off their engagement.
