There’s nothing like a woman’s touch — but sometimes that touch can be taken a little too far.
A husband took to Reddit to share how his wife transformed his former bachelor pad into a plant oasis. And that might be putting it lightly because based on the pictures, there’s so much greenery in the redecorated apartment that even their dogs look lost in the jungle chaos.
In the r/malelivingspace subreddit, the original poster wrote, “Before/After getting married to a gal with a minor plant disorder” above a series of before and after photos that showed the green influence his wife had on his home.
The first photo shows a tidy living room decorated with a light colored couch, orange accent chair, lamp, rug — all the typical fixings one would decorate this room with.
In the after photo, the room looks completely different — probably making Reddit users wonder if it’s even the same home.
The few furniture, wall art and picture frame additions are minor compared to — what looks like — hundreds of various plants all over the room. The greenery covers almost every square inch of the living space — taking over the floor, walls and even some of the furniture.
If you thought this was the worst of it, think again. The other posted photos show the before and after of the apartment’s kitchen, its entryway and a piano corner. Those areas were dealing with the same situation — plant overload.
It wouldn’t be Reddit if people didn’t share their contrasting opinions in a post’s thread — so this one wasn’t any different.
Of course, there were some cynical plant haters.
“Oh my…. Maybe you should think twice about your situation. If it were me, I would run,” a comment read.
“What is her favorite restaurant and why is it Rainforest Cafe?” one commenter joked.
“Hmm, I like the greenery, but that could be a touch over the top. Kudos to her for maintaining all those, though,” chimed in another person.
Despite some of the negative comments, many other people admired the transformation.
“Besides the plants, it looks like the decor really upgraded, the new art and carpets really fill the space out,” praised one person.
“Broooo I’m not a plant person, but boy, did she upgrade your combined aesthetic. holy cow, your guys’ place looks nice,” wrote someone else.
“My husband and I just cackled at this for a solid couple of minutes. You have taste. Your wife is an artist! BEAUTIFUL LEVELING UP!” added a commenter.
In the comments, the poster disclosed that he and his wife live in Portland, Oregon — and that he loves his home full of plants just as much as he loves her.
“She’s the love of my life! And I absolutely love being surrounded by tropical plants and am constantly amazed by how she intuitively understands how to nurture life.”
