Dolph Lundgren and wife Emma Krokdal enjoyed a rare outing following his recovery from cancer.
Lundgren, 67, and Krokdal, 29, were spotted walking down the streets of Los Angeles this week, according to photos obtained by The Daily Mail on Friday, August 22. The Rocky IV actor donned white chinos and a chambray shirt. Krokdal rocked a blue and white striped blouse and dark shorts.
The couple was last seen in March as they enjoyed an outing with Lundgren’s daughters, Ida, 29, and Greta, 23. (Lundgren shares both children with ex-wife Anette Qviberg.)
The family spent some quality time together out to lunch at Avra in Beverly Hills.
Lundgren and Krokdal got engaged in June 2020 and tied the knot three years later in Mykonos, Greece.
“We chose to celebrate our love by getting married at our villa in Mykonos with family and a few close friends,” the couple said in a statement to People in June 2023. “With both COVID and a long road of challenging medical treatments, we’ve had to push our marriage plans many times. We felt it was finally the right time to celebrate love, life and happiness — in the land of the Gods.”
Lundgren’s recent outing comes nine months after he revealed he was cancer-free after undergoing surgery.
“Here I am at UCLA. [I’m] about to go in and get rid of that last dead tumor. Since there are no cancer cells in my body anymore, then I guess I’ll be cancer-free, so I’m looking forward to this procedure,” he said in a December 2024 Instagram video.“It’s been a rough ride and really taught me how to live in the moment and enjoy every moment of life. It’s the only way to go.”
In 2023, Lundgren opened up about his private battle with cancer. The actor had a kidney tumor removed in 2015. Five years later, doctors discovered additional tumors.
“This is just the first time I’ve spoken about it. So if you can save one person’s life who was in my situation then it’s worth it, for sure,” Lundgren said in a May 2023 interview on In Depth With Graham Bensinger. “I did scans every six months. Then you do it every year and it was fine for five years. In 2020, I was back in Sweden and had some kind of acid reflux. So I did an MRI, and they found that there were a few more tumors around that area.”
Lundgren revealed that the doctor told him he had “two or three years” to live.
“I thought it was it for sure. You kind of look at your life and going, ‘I’ve had a great life.’ I’ve had a freaking great life,” he continued. “I’ve lived like five lifetimes in one already with everything I’ve done.”
