Brooks Nader is open and honest about her life in Love Thy Nader — except when it comes to sharing details about her divorce from ex-husband Billy Haire.
“I would say it’s a part of my life and a part of my story,” Nader, 28, said during a Wednesday, August 27, appearance on “The Viall Files” podcast. “It’s a part of who I am and what shaped me.”
Brooks’ sisters — Mary Holland, Grace Ann and Sarah Jane — then chimed in, claiming that a nondisclosure agreement also played a factor in why the supermodel opted against discussing her breakup.
“I can [talk] about my experiences. That’s in the fine print,” Brooks explained. “We both did [sign one]. It was a mutually exclusive [NDA].”
Brooks was married to Haire, who is 11 years older than her, from 2019 to 2024.
“I think that I was a different person when I was married to him,” she told podcast host Nick Viall. “[He] was the first guy I ever dated and met in New York. I was 19 years old … and then I stayed with him till 27, and I’m 28 now.”
Brooks continued, “I feel like it did shape me, and it was a really, really hard decision to get a divorce just because you don’t love somebody. That’s why I did it.”
Fresh off her divorce, Brooks joined Dancing With the Stars season 33.
“They called me [and asked], ‘If you could describe your ideal partner.’ It was last summer, I was newly single,” Brooks recalled. “I had, like, three boyfriends [on a] great roster. I was, like, ‘Give me the hottest, douchiest f***boy in the whole roster.’”
The DWTS casting team then allegedly proclaimed to Brooks that they “have the guy,” which turned out to be pro dancer Gleb Savchenko. Brooks said that she started hooking up with Savchenko after their “fourth day” of rehearsals.
“My way of looking at it was like, ‘I don’t want to do this dillydally [and] build tension thing all season,’” Brooks said. “Let me just see it. I want to see what you’re made of.”
Brooks and Savchenko ultimately broke up in April after the model claimed the Russian dancer was unfaithful. He denied the accusations, and the entire saga of their showmance is featured on Love Thy Nader.
“I was going through a lot of change,” Brooks told Us Weekly in her August cover story of filming the docuseries. “The cameras were rolling at the perfect time to capture all the things that unfolded. I think the moral of the story is how sisters come together during hard times and happy times and just stick together.”
