Some look more beau-tiful than others.
It’s not just female content creators undergoing extreme makeovers online. Now, internet cosmetologists are giving their boyfriends epic glow-ups and sharing them as part of a viral TikTok trend — although some beaus cleaned up better than others.
The videos start with the other half in question looking fairly schlubby, before — presto! — the footage cuts to said shaggamuffin looking well-groomed and appealing like the end of “Beauty and the Beast.”
One clip with 5.4 million views shows a woman’s BF looking unkempt with a hoodie, man bun and a scraggly beard and mustache. Then, in the next frame, he’s clean-shaven and slimmer with a new haircut to boot.
Viewers were quick to praise this apparent reverse werewolf transformation, with one writing, “Gurl! You are a visionary.”
“She said I can fix him, and she was right,” said another, while a third claimed that they “stood up and applauded.”
Another viral clip showed an overweight BF with an unkempt beard transform into a shredded and clean-cut gym shark, something out of a fitness magazine.
“Aw, he should be so proud of himself!” fawned one fan. “That kind of dedication is so admirable.”
However, not all these digital Cinderella stories resonated on TikTok.
Viewers were not enamored with another man-shaping campaign, in which someone’s soulmate went from rocking a dashing goatee and mustache to going clean-shaven with an incongruous bowl cut — a look he himself seemed unimpressed with.
“I don’t think the videos are in order,” joked one TikTok wit, while another joked, “Have you tried putting it in rice?”
“What did you do to that man?” gasped a third.
It’s yet unclear what exact regimen they underwent, but some online peeps have gone to unorthodox lengths to make them easier on the eyes.
This summer, influencer Anastasia Eastin went viral after enlisting ChatGPT to help jumpstart her glow-up after her prior efforts hit a plateau.
She claims that the synthetically-enhanced regimen made her “happy and polished” while also saving thousands of dollars.
