Now that Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are engaged, Travis’ mom, Donna Kelce, wants to see that momentum keep going.
During a conversation with NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders on their “New Heights” podcast, Travis, 35, and his older brother, Jason Kelce, discussed the concept of parents “ranking” their children.
“Your parents rank y’all, y’all just don’t know,” Sanders, 58, told the brothers.
Jason, 37, responded, “For sure. Mom has always had Travis No. 1. I do know.”
However, Travis said that the rankings have fluctuated in recent years.
“Right now, Mom has Jason No. 1 because he has kids,” Travis argued.
Jason and his wife, Kylie Kelce, share four daughters: Wyatt, 5, Ellie, 4, Bennett, 2, and Finn, 5 months.
“That is true, she has said that,” Jason admitted. “She has made that comment. She’s putting the pressure on him.
Travis and his fiancée, Taylor Swift, announced their engagement last month.
Sanders, now the head football coach at the University of Colorado, couldn’t help but rib Travis about his dating history.
“I know we’ve had some close calls,” Sanders said, which drew huge laughter from both Travis and Jason.
The Dallas Cowboys legend added, “You know when you sit at the end of the bed like, ‘Oh, Lord, if you get me out of this one, Lord. I promise you I’ll be at church on Sunday. I promise you.”
Sanders is the father of five children. He shares daughter Deiondra, 33, and son Deion Jr., 31, with his first wife, Carolyn Chambers, and sons Shilo, 25, and Shedeur, 23, and daughter Shelomi, 21, with his second wife, Pilar Biggers-Sanders.
Deion and Pilar finalized their divorce in 2013.
“I rank my kids, man,” Deion said. “I love them differently. I don’t love them the same. I know which one is going to take care of me when I’m older. I know which one is going to ask me for money when I’m older. It keeps me on my knees in front of God.”
He added, “I know them like a book. All you have to do is describe what happened, and I can tell you which one did it. That’s how knowledgeable I am with my kids. I love them differently.”
Deion is currently rumored to be dating actress Karrueche Tran, who was by his side when he had successful bladder cancer surgery earlier this year.
