Kelly Osbourne is learning alongside her 3-year-old son, Sidney, as she navigates parenthood.

“I’ve learnt patience in a way I never thought I was capable of,” Osbourne, 41, shared in an interview with Hello! published on Monday, August 31. “You can’t make your kids be anything — they will become exactly who they want to be. When he’s dysregulated, I just sit with him and let him go through it. I don’t try to control his feelings, because they’re his.”

She continued, “Sometimes, yeah, it’s really f***ing hard and really f***ing annoying! But I want him to have his voice, and to feel confident enough to express himself.”

As Sidney paves his own way, Osbourne shared that she’s “never explained gender” to him.

Kelly Osbourne is in full mommy mode.  The TV personality, 40, opened up to Us Weekly exclusively about her son, Sidney, entering his “terrible twos,” a childhood development phase that often includes tantrums and more expressive emotions.  “It’s insane. I never get a second,” Osbourne shared at the Clarins ICONS Event in Los Angeles last […]

“I don’t believe it’s a concept that a 3-year-old boy needs to try to understand,” Osbourne explained. “You like what you like, and that’s it. One day he loves Gabby’s Dollhouse, and the next day we’re at Rugbytots and he’s loving every moment of the physicality and the rough play.”

She continued, “When he meets someone, he naturally addresses them by how they present. I’ve never taught him that; he does it on his own. I think that’s so special.”

Osbourne welcomed her son with Sid Wilson in 2022. Three years later, Wilson proposed to Kelly at her dad Ozzy Osbourne’s final concert with Black Sabbath in July 2025. (Ozzy died later that month after a battle with Parkinson’s disease. He was 76.)

In March, the Daily Mail reported that Kelly and Wilson had split and called off their engagement. Nearly two weeks later, Kelly took to Instagram to share a series of photos from a mother-son outing to Odds Farm Park in England with Sidney.

Kelly Osbourne’s son, Sidney, is following in his late grandfather Ozzy Osbourne’s footsteps this Halloween season. “Yesterday I spent the day with Baby Sidney at @oddsfarmpark,” her caption read at the time. “We had the time of our lives. He got to meet the Easter bunny 🐰 but I think his favorite part was learning about and meeting the bees 🐝. We feed animal explored the play grounds and went down the mega rainbow 🌈 slide 🛝! It was literally the best day ever! 🐷🐐🐓🐑🐇🚜🌾🐂🫏🧑‍🌾👩‍🌾.”

Before Kelly’s split from Wilson, she was candid about how their son changed her life.

“I truly believe my baby saved me and made me a whole human,” Kelly said in her October 2024 Us cover story. “I don’t think I knew what love was before having a baby.”

She continued, “I don’t remember life before having the baby because everything has changed. I didn’t realize just how powerful the feeling of love was [going to be] when you have the baby. It’s the most … addictive feeling I have ever felt. You realize in that one second, ‘You’ve given me purpose like nothing has ever given me before.’ I don’t think I had purpose.”
