Meghan Markle’s potential The Gentlemen casting is still unknown to the show’s stars.

“I, unfortunately, have no decision-making abilities,” Kaya Scodelario, who plays Susie Glass, said on the Wednesday, September 9, broadcast of Today when asked about the rumors of Meghan’s appearance. “I wish I did because I would love to cast the show myself; I’d put all my friends in it.”

Us learned in August that Meghan, 45, was in early talks to appear in The Gentlemen season 3, which Netflix recently renewed. (It is not known whether the Suits alum, who retired from acting upon her 2018 royal wedding to Prince Harry, will officially appear on the show.)

Scodelario, 34, further stressed that she has no idea whether the rumors about Meghan’s cameo are the real deal — but she would be on board if they are.

“I don’t know. I think what’s wonderful about our show is that we have these characters pop up and we get these great guest actors come in, sprinkle a little bit of their magic into the characters and make really memorable scenes out of them,” Scodelario gushed on Wednesday. “It’s one of things I like most about the show. We have wonderful guest actors in season 2, and the more the merrier. Everyone, have a go!”

Meghan has not publicly addressed whether she plans to return to Hollywood, while Netflix exec Manda Levin coyly hinted, “All bets are off” at the Edinburgh TV Festival last month. Leading man Theo James, for his part, later told Town & Country that the speculation is “mainly a lot of hot air.”

“At the moment, we’re just trying to get as many eyes on season 2, and then season 3 will happen soon,” James, 41, said in a September 2 profile. “But in terms of story, we have the overarching ambition of where we’re going to go. We’re going to expand the world, go to different countries. But in terms of the minutiae, I mean, it’s still very much up in the air.”
