Former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader Reece Weaver is opening up about her future plans after purchasing her “dream” home with her husband, Will Allman.
“This house is absolutely beautiful,” Weaver, 24, exclusively told Us of her Alabama residence on September 2 as she prepared for her September 7 Broadway debut as Roxie Hart in the iconic musical Chicago at the Ambassador Theatre in New York City.
“We definitely want to plant roots here, build a family in it — just all of it,” she continued. “It just checks all the boxes, and I think one of the biggest things that we love most about it is that one, it’s close to our family and friends, and two, it’s just — it’s home.”
The former DCC star added, “It’s security for us, and there’s just something so sweet to have our own home and to say that you’re homeworners and it’s yours. So I think it’s just that security of knowing that it’s ours.”
While Weaver can’t wait to get back to her newly-purchased home base, she is happy to spend her time with Allman, 26, and their sweet puppy in their temporary New York City apartment in-between rehearsals and before she takes the stage night after night.

“I mean, this is the city of dreams, and so we want to take advantage of it and make the most of it,” Weaver told Us of her time in the Big Apple, detailing the efforts her husband made to meet her in the city with their fluffy, four-legged family member.
“So, he flew out here with me. We got settled in our apartment. I think he stayed for, like, the first two days of rehearsals, and then he flew back out [and] got a lot of things,” she explained. “He got a rental care, packed more stuff that we couldn’t bring on the plane — and then, of course, our dog — and made the trip.”
She added, “Sixteen-hour trip, all the way to the city. So he truly is the best. I am so grateful for him.”
As Weaver embraces the next chaper of her career after retiring from the DCC squad at the end of the 2025 NFL season, she’s also enjoying a new phase in her marriage as her relationship with Allman — who she married in April 2024 — also evolves.

“Our relationship today — I would say, three years ago we would not have pegged that this would be our lives at all,” Weaver told Us. “But we are making the most of every single day. I think the biggest piece of advice I could give is just knowing that each day there’s going to come new challenges, new trials, new tribulations and fun surprises. And if you’re not doing it with your best friend, then I encourage you to find who that is.”
She continues, “We, at the end of the day, can go through a rough day but know that we have each other at the end of it. I think that that’s something that’s special about our relationship, is knowing that no matter what surprises come our way we know that we have each other and we’re going to get through them together.”
Weaver’s limited engagement in Chicago runs for six weeks through October 18.
