Katie Zacharia has been offered the role as the next White House Press Secretary, two White House officials confirmed to Fox News Digital Friday afternoon.
She currently serves as the senior communications advisor to Trump Media & Technology Group, which runs the president’s social media website Truth Social. Zacharia is an attorney and frequent television commentator.
She also briefly served as a spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) after Tricia McLaughlin left her post alongside former Secretary Kristi Noem.
She will succeed Karoline Leavitt, who left the role in late August following the birth of her second child in May. Since her departure there have been only two formal White House press briefings — one with Vice President JD Vance and one with Attorney General Todd Blanche.
