Pregnant influencer Karissa Collins has candidly reflected on her fear of becoming “too excited” following multiple pregnancy losses.

“No one talks about the anxiety of finding out you’re pregnant after loss. The fear to be too excited is real, “ the mom-of-11, 42, wrote via Instagram on Saturday, October 10. “We didn’t want to take our children through any more disappointment so we waited to tell them [when] we could see the baby for ourselves at nine weeks. The only problem was my belly grew faster than expected and I was sicker than expected so they figured it out before we could even surprise them.”

Karissa, who announced via Instagram last month that she was pregnant with her 12th child, posted her comments alongside a video of the July 13 moment that she and husband Mandrea Collins discovered they were adding to their brood. “Let’s just say on this day in July, I was in complete shock and covering this sweet baby in prayer every day,” the social media personality continued. “We’re so grateful God chose us to carry this child.”

The news comes after Karissa revealed via social media in June 2025 that she had suffered a miscarriage while carrying her 12th child. In a TikTok video shared in the wake of the news, the Texas-based influencer shared details into the devastating turn of events. “I am currently, possibly, still pregnant with a missed miscarriage baby,” she said in a clip shared on July 17, 2025. “I have not fully miscarried the baby, which I found out about a month ago. I have been carrying this miscarriage … anywhere from four to six weeks.”

Karissa has been candid in the past about experiencing other pregnancy losses over the years.

The Collins family built their public profile by sharing everyday videos of themselves via YouTube in 2017. Days after Karissa’s miscarriage news was revealed, the clan rose to more prominent fame after Karissa uploaded a TikTok video of her younger children playfully hitting her belly. The since-deleted video sparked widespread backlash, with Karissa later addressing the post.

“I don’t do clickbait. I don’t like controversy. I don’t post offensive things for followers. I don’t want followers like that. I’m not all about a following,” she said in response to the backlash. “I am just about sharing the message that God has given me, and the ministry that I have, which is that you can trust God with your womb. … We encourage women to trust God with how many children he wants to give.”
