Bachelor Nation alum Jared Haibon admittedly never expected to see his family in the Bravoverse before his wife, Ashley Iaconetti, joined the cast of The Real Housewives of Rhode Island.

“I have to admit, back in 2018 when I told Ashley I wanted us to move back to Rhode Island someday, I didn’t think she would become a part of the Real Housewives of Rhode Island,” Jared, 37, wrote via Instagram on Thursday, April 2. “I certainly didn’t think I would become a Real Househusband (if that’s what we’re called). Yet, here we are.”

Jared and Ashley, 38, met during Bachelor in Paradise season 2, getting married four years later in 2019. The pair welcomed son Dawson, 4, before relocating from Los Angeles to Jared’s native Rhode Island and opening a local coffee shop. Ashley later gave birth to their second son, Hayden, in July 2024.

RHORI, which premiered Thursday night on Bravo, featured Ashley’s integration into the Ocean State’s social scene. The show also stars Alicia Carmody, Rosie DiMare, Liz McGraw, Rulla Nehme Pontarelli, Kelsey Swanson, Jo-Ellen Tiberi and Real Housewives of New Jersey vet Dolores Catania in a “friend of” role.

Ashley Iaconetti Haibon revealed that crossing over from one reality franchise to another isn’t always seamless. Ashley, 37, found herself in unfamiliar territory while filming Real Housewives of Rhode Island, especially due to being surrounded by women with larger-than-life personalities, she told Us Weekly exclusively while promoting her new campaign, One Step to Love, for […]

As for Jared, he was floored by how seamlessly Ashley fit in with the group.

“Ashley probably isn’t the first person you think of when thinking of a ‘Housewife.’ However, when I think about it, I actually think she is,” he stated in his social media post. “Ashley is hardworking, beautiful, intelligent, thoughtful, a supportive wife and the most loving mother any child can ask for. I see her put her family first every single day.”

Jared continued, “She might not be confrontational, she might not flip tables but she is strong, diligent and wears her heart on her sleeve. Ashley I is a badass, and when I think of this franchise, I think of badass women. Because of this, I think Ashley will fit right in.”

Many reality TV stars have handed in their roses for slots on Bravo. Ashley Iaconetti rose to fame on Chris Soules’ season of The Bachelor followed by stints on Bachelor in Paradise and Bachelor Winter Games before eventually marrying her BiP crush, Jared Haibon, in 2019. Nearly five years later, the pair will make the […]

While Ashley and Jared’s marriage will be put under the microscope with RHORI episodes, they aren’t worried about whether the cameras will affect their relationship.

“I know that since we’ve been through the spotlight together, that neither of us are going to feel affected by it,” Ashley exclusively told Us Weekly ahead of the series premiere. “We have been under the spotlight together. This isn’t going to be a new thing. We, honestly, know how to navigate it pretty well. It’s our foundation. I would say we, kind of, know how this is gonna go. We know we have our priorities in line, for sure.”

The Real Housewives of Rhode Island airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo and streams the next day on Peacock.
