Bozoma Saint John shared intimate details about her fertility journey on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
“The experiences of pregnancy have not been easy for me,” Boze shared during the Tuesday, February 18 episode of RHOBH. “I got pregnant unexpectedly with my first daughter, named Eve. Five months into my pregnancy, I discovered that I had early stages of preeclampsia, a disease that creates high blood pressure and starts to attack your pregnancy.”
About six-and-a-half months into the pregnancy, Boz said she was hospitalized for high blood pressure, where she was immediately admitted into labor and delivery.
“My baby didn’t survive,” she recalled. “Two months after I lost Eve, I decided that I was meant to be a mother and wanted to have another baby.
Boze and her late husband, Peter Saint John, welcomed daughter, Lael Saint John, in 2009. (Peter died in 2013, months after being diagnosed with cancer.)
The Bravo star’s fertility has been discussed several times during this season of RHOBH — she and boyfriend Keely Watson have discussed the possibility of having a child of their own.

“Because I’m a mature woman, you would assume I have to get checked out to see if I’m still viable to be able to carry a baby and Keeley’s ready,” she said during Tuesday’s episode. “We haven’t met with the fertility doctor yet.”
Boze explained that the entire thing is “scary” because of her previous experience with pregnancy loss.
“This pregnancy journey was in theory and now it’s reality. If I’m gonna get some needles poked into me, that makes it very very real,” she admitted. “I was really excited but now I’m nervous. I feel scared. What if we don’t get the results we want?”
After losing her first pregnancy, Boze said that her pregnancy with Lael was “horrific,” adding that she felt “terror” during every doctor appointment.
“I would have to squeeze Peter’s hand because, what if?” Boze recalled. “I am 15 years older than the last [time] I had this issue. I need some assurances, and I don’t know how to get that.”
She further discussed her feelings regarding the possibility of a future pregnancy during a confessional.
“While it’s exciting and hopeful to think about having a baby with Keely, I can’t help but go right back to those days where I was scared to death every single day of my pregnancy,” she said.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs on Bravo Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET and streams the next day on Peacock.
