Bradley Cooper made sure Gigi Hadid had a very special 30th birthday, planning every detail of her New York City party.
“Bradley and Gigi have the same low-key vibe,” a source exclusively tells Us Weekly. “He went all out to make her feel loved on her birthday and planned everything himself.”
Hadid celebrated the milestone birthday at L’Avenue at Saks in Midtown Manhattan on April 25. Cooper, 50, made sure his girlfriend was surrounded by her loved ones, including her parents, Mohamed Hadid and Yolanda Hadid, and her sister, Bella Hadid. Several A-list pals also attended, including Anne Hathaway, Emily Ratajkowski and Zoë Kravitz.
“It wasn’t flashy, but it was incredibly thoughtful and personal,” the insider adds. “He knows Gigi doesn’t like over-the-top attention, so it was a very curated evening with her closest friends.”
The thoughtful celebration clearly left an impression. Gigi took to social media one week later to gush over her big night — and make her romance with the Oscar nominee Instagram official. Among the 20 snaps she posted was one of her kissing Cooper in front of a chocolate birthday cake.
“I feel so lucky to be 30! I feel so lucky for every high and low — for all the lessons and gifts both have brought me. To get to feel it all! I’m so lucky to be a mom, friend, partner, sister, daughter, colleague to some of the most unbelievable humans!!” she captioned the Saturday, May 3, post. “So lucky for the support and encouragement from all of YOU around the world, every day and on my birthday last week. I had the best time celebrating, and it’s a blessing to feel so loved!! I am grateful and honored to take on a new decade x x G.”
Cooper met the model at a birthday party for a mutual friend’s child. Cooper shares daughter Lea, 8, with ex Irina Shayk while Gigi shares daughter Khai, 4, with ex Zayn Malik. In May 2024, another insider told Us Malik was “completely supportive” of the couple.
Gigi and Cooper, who were first linked in October 2023, are “very romantic and happy,” the model said while opening up about her relationship for the first time in Vogue‘s April cover story.
“I respect him so much as a creative, and I feel that he gives so much to me: encouragement and, just, belief,” she said. “For those people you admire to encourage you, it can create so much belief in yourself. Like, what’s the worst thing if I auditioned for this? You jump and take the leap.”
