Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia is gearing up for her next phase of podcasting.

“I think I’m good with just one podcast,” LaPaglia, 26, told Us Weekly exclusively while promoting her appearance on Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test season 4. “I mean, I can only talk for so long, and people don’t want to hear me talk that much.”

Now that the “BFFs” podcast — which she previously hosted alongside TikTok star Josh Richards — has officially come to an end, LaPaglia is focused on “PlanBri Uncut,” which returned to weekly episodes in October after a year-long hiatus.

“People are loving it. I think they’re loving it because they can tell I love it,” LaPaglia gushed. “I care about it. I think about it every day. What the next episode is going to be, what the next topic is going to be. How I can really touch people, move people, without doing all the flashy things.”

Dave Portnoy and Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia’s friendship has come a long way over the years. Portnoy, 47, founded Barstool Sports in 2003, but LaPaglia, 25, didn’t join the team until much later. She got her start with the podcast network in 2020 as an intern. The organization contacted her via social media after her videos […]

LaPaglia doesn’t want “PlanBri” to be a “clickbaity” or “scandal” podcast.

“I want it to just be a podcast that people can count on every week. Listen to and feel like they have a best friend through their headphones, through their car,” she explained. “Wherever they’re watching it.”

LaPaglia recently sat down with Richards, 23, for the “BFFS: THE FINALE” livestream, which aired on Tuesday, November 18. The duo said goodbye to the podcast, which was also previously hosted by Dave Portnoy, after five years.

“We were way more emotional than we thought,” LaPaglia told Us. “We had already planned this out months ahead. It [had] just run its course for us.”

The Barstool Sports personality explained that she and Richards no longer wanted to “talk crap about people anymore” and unpack headlines. (Yes, she will still continue her friendship with Richards even though there is no podcast.)

“We wanted to end it in a happy place where we both still loved it and cherished it,” LaPaglia said. “We got to say goodbye. We did a six-hour livestream.”

The end of “BFFs” paired with the resurgence of “PlanBri” allowed for the “perfect full circle moment” in LaPaglia’s podcasting career.
