Britney Spears is spending time with her eldest son, Preston, after her recent DUI arrest.
In photos shared via Instagram on Sunday, March 29, Spears was all smiles as she stood next to her 20-year-old son and tilted her head to the side. Preston gave a closed-mouth smile as he wrapped his arm around his mom’s shoulder.
Spears styled her long blonde hair down, wearing a pink cropped shirt and a pair of black shades, while Preston donned a white T-shirt. In another snap, Preston did not smile as Spears looked straight ahead.
She captioned the post, “🌹🗡️🌹⛳️.”
Spears’ upload came after the singer was arrested earlier this month in Ventura County, California, “on suspicion of driving under the influence of a combination of alcohol and drugs,” per a press release from the California Highway Patrol.
The pop star was taken into custody late in the evening on March 4 and sent to a hospital to test her blood alcohol content, before being booked and released the following morning.
“This was an unfortunate incident that is completely inexcusable,” Spears’ rep told Us Weekly at the time. “Britney is going to take the right steps and comply with the law, and hopefully this can be the first step in long overdue change that needs to occur in Britney’s life. Hopefully, she can get the help and support she needs during this difficult time.”
The statement noted that Spears was receiving support from sons Preston and Jayden, 19, and her friends and family. (Spears shares her kids with ex Kevin Federline.)
“Her boys are going to be spending time with her. Her loved ones are going to come up with an overdue, needed plan to set her up for success for well-being,” the message concluded.
Spears is scheduled to appear in court on May 4, per online court records. In the wake of her DUI arrest, Us understands that Spears has been sober and is attending AA meetings. Us reached out to Spears’ rep for comment at the time.
After deactivating her Instagram account following the arrest, Spears returned to social media on Friday, March 27, with a video with Jayden.
“Thank you guys for all your support … spending time with family and friends is such a blessing !!! 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹. Stay kind !!!” Spears captioned the Friday, March 27, Instagram post, where she and Jayden posed in front of a mirror.
