Alex Cooper can officially swap her daddy title for mommy after welcoming her first baby with husband Matt Kaplan.
The “Call Her Daddy” host announced her little one’s birth on Tuesday, October 20, sharing the first glimpse of her son via Instagram. She captioned the post with a simple blue heart emoji.
Fans and friends celebrated the milestone in the comments section. “Omg,” Harry Jowsey wrote. “Congratulations 🥹🥹🥹❤️💕.”
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Jessi Draper added, “Congrats mama!!!!!”
Cooper revealed her pregnancy in May, announcing she was expanding her family with Kaplan, whom she married in April 2024.
“Daddy Gang, there is something I’ve been waiting to share with you …,” she wrote via her Instagram Story at the time.
Cooper subsequently posted maternity photos, in which she debuted her bare baby bump while sitting outside with Kaplan. “Our family 🤍,” she gushed in the caption.

In an Instagram Story, Cooper quipped, “Honestly happy I can finally stop trying to hide the bump lol.”
The following month, Cooper addressed rumors of strife in her marriage after she and Kaplan attended the YouTube Brandcast event in May. She claimed that any perceived tension between the couple at the time was due to her nerves about keeping her pregnancy a secret.
“The only rumors that actually came from the carpet were just how miserable my husband and I looked,” she recalled during a June episode of her “Call Her Daddy” podcast. “To see people overanalyzing Matt and me as we were earnestly trying to hide this pregnancy, I was so relieved that they were talking about our dynamic, our supposed marital issues, and no one was talking about a potential bump. It was a win for the Cooper-Kaplans that day.”
Still, Cooper confessed it was “sad” to see people speculating about her marriage, describing it as “an odd part of the job that I don’t enjoy.”
“No one needs to worry,” she insisted on her status with Kaplan. “Matt and I are great.”
Cooper further explained that she was having “a mental breakdown” during her awkward red carpet moment with Kaplan after discovering that her outfit was too small. While she initially planned to hide her bump until August or September, she had a change of heart as her pregnancy became harder to conceal.
“I really just wanted to stay in this bubble and not, I don’t know, not open it up for public commentary for honestly as long as I could,” she said. “Obviously, that plan didn’t work as expected.”
Ultimately, Cooper concluded that “the process of trying to hide [the bump] was literally causing me more anxiety than just putting it out there and being honest with the world.”
Shortly after Cooper opened up about her pregnancy, Vanity Fair published a bombshell report in June claiming that Kaplan fostered an allegedly “toxic work environment” at the pair’s Unwell Network.
While Cooper and Kaplan did not comment on the allegations at the time, a source close to the podcaster told Us, “[The Vanity Fair reporter] has a clear agenda here and has since she began reporting this story. She went to great lengths to get dirt for this story but doesn’t include any mention of how many people spoke positively about Unwell, Matt and Alex.”
