After recently getting “stuck” in Colombia, Chet Hanks finally has a reason to smile!
Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson’s son took to Instagram on Wednesday, March 4, to show off his new veneers after undergoing dental treatment in Medellín.
“I’m so happy,” Chet, 35, said in a video while flashing his pearly whites. “Perfect Smile Experience did me bright! Man, it’s more complicated than just putting the veneers on your teeth. They’ve got to shape them so they match perfectly with your jaw and your bite. That takes real skill, so I’m glad I came here.”
He continued, “Man, my bite feels completely perfect and natural. My teeth, I didn’t have to choose the shape because they went with the shape of my natural teeth. Perfect, you know? I’m so happy.”
Perfect Smile Experience also shared a video via their Instagram Stories of the moment Chet saw his new veneers for the first time.
“Oh my god, dude, I’m in love,” Chet gushed in the video. “All I gotta say is that right now my confidence is through the roof. I came here because I wanted to smile more and I can 100% say I’m going to smile way more now than I did before.”
He added, “I’m so happy!”
Chet made headlines last week when he shared in a Friday, February 27, Instagram video that he was stuck in Colombia without his U.S. passport.
“Free me! Free me,” Chet, 35, joked in the video, noting that he traveled using his Greek passport “because I’m a dual citizen.”
Chet said he left his U.S. passport at home in Los Angeles because it was about to expire, and “sometimes they don’t let you in the country, even if it hasn’t expired, but it’s about to expire.”
The Running Point actor said he faced a dilemma at the airport, however, when he was asked for a green card, which he doesn’t have because he’s a U.S. citizen.
“I go to the airport to check in [for] my flight three hours early,” he said. “This is an international flight. They tell me that if I’m using a foreign passport, I need a green card to get back into America.”
“I’m literally stuck in Colombia. I’m stuck in Medellín,” he said. “Granted, there’s worse places to be stuck, but I literally have no f***ing idea what I’m gonna do, and the only embassy to get this s*** settled is in Bogota.”
