This couple’s story sounds like the plot of a paranormal horror film.

A woman named Anita Rainier and her husband, who moved into a new home a few months ago, discovered a creepy note warning them about something inside.

According to Newsweek, the duo moved right outside of Seattle, Washington. One night, when the couple was in their kitchen, chatting about house renovations they wanted to make, they suddenly found an eerie handwritten note in one of their cabinets.

“My husband and I were just chatting in the kitchen, deciding how we should set up one particular display cabinet,” Rainier said to the outlet. “I got down at an angle and suddenly let out a cry of ‘what the f*** is that?’”

“It was this really well-hidden bit of paper tightly tucked into the top of the cabinet, totally out of sight unless you got all the way down like I was looking up,” she explained.

The folded-up note read, “Don’t look under the floor.”

When Rainier turned over the note, it had a series of random numbers: “29065300489382.”

While most people probably wouldn’t be able to sleep after discovering that spooky message, the couple surprisingly found it funny.

“It was both hilarious and kind of exciting to think there might be some hidden mystery here,” she said.

Curiosity got the best of them, but when the homeowners searched the numbers online — they were unsuccessful.

“We were expecting it to be some number relating to at least something,” they told the outlet.

They didn’t give up — the couple took on the challenge as if they were playing a game of Clue.

“We divided it by our unit number, ZIP code, year the building was built, etc., to see if we could get a whole number or phone number or something. No luck!” Rainier said.

Their last resort was posting it to Reddit to see if any helpful commenters could help them solve this bizarre mystery.

A few people commented on the post, insisting the code on the back was a “library card number. Probably the name of a book.”

“Imagine you tear up the floorboard and find another note that just says, ‘Made ya look,’” a person joked.

“14 digits… coordinates? Safety deposit box? Hidden safe combination? Alphabet coordination to each number? What have you tried?” another person asked.
