Dua Lipa and boyfriend Callum Turner are engaged after one year of dating.
“Yeah, we’re engaged,” Lipa, 29, told British Vogue for their July cover interview published on Thursday, June 12. “It’s very exciting. This decision to grow old together, to see a life and just, I don’t know, be best friends forever – it’s a really special feeling.”
Lipa shared that Turner, 35, had the ring made custom for her after talking with her close friends and sister. “I’m obsessed with it,” she gushed. “It’s so me. It’s nice to know the person that you’re going to spend the rest of your life with knows you very well.”
Lipa noted that the pair have not set a wedding date. “I want to finish my tour, Callum’s shooting, so we’re just enjoying this period,” she said. “I’ve never been someone who’s really thought about a wedding, or dreamt about what kind of bride I would be. All of a sudden I’m like: ‘Oh, what would I wear?’”

Lipa and Turner’s engagement news comes months after the couple spent their first Christmas together. The pop star included a photo of her and Turner, 34, in a photo dump from her holiday festivities.
“Home for the holidays,” Lipa wrote via X on Wednesday, December 25. “Sending you all so much love.”
In the blurry selfie, the pair were all smiles as they snuggled up in the front seats of a car. The “Houdini” singer rocked a dark-colored coat with an emerald-colored scarf and oversized sunglasses. Lipa also had what appeared to be a huge rock on her left hand ring finger. Turner, for his part, donned a black jacket and a matching beanie.
Lipa and Turner were first romantically linked in January after they were spotted cozying up at the premiere party for the actor’s show Masters of the Air. Us Weekly later confirmed that the duo were dating. (Before Turner, Lipa was in a relationship with Anwar Hadid — who is Gigi and Bella Hadid‘s younger brother — from 2019 to 2021.)
“Callum is really the first serious relationship she’s had in the past few years,” a source exclusively told Us in March. “Dua and Callum spend almost all their time together and are nearly inseparable.”
The following month, Lipa hinted that she might have manifested her romance with Turner when writing her song “Training Season.”
“I was like, ‘OK, I’m going to write down what I want,’” Lipa told Elle in an April 2024 interview while discussing her creative process. “The power of manifestation and writing things into existence with the power of words. When you know your worth, you know what you want and what you don’t want.”
Lipa wrote the track in November 2022, which fell in between her breakup with Anwar and first connecting with Turner.

“As long as everyone knows where they stand, then you’re good,” Lipa shared during the same interview, seemingly referring to her past and current relationships. “I was talking about this with one of my dancers today, because she was going through a breakup — when I was single, I didn’t wish it away. You learn so much about yourself, you know, whether it’s going on a date or spending that time alone. In the silence, you figure out who you really are. In the grand scheme of things, I was doing research.”
In July 2024, Lipa subtly made her and Turner’s relationship Instagram official when she uploaded a series of snaps from the 2024 Glastonbury music festival. In the post, she included a pic of her and Turner packing on the PDA.
“Dancing until you see the sunrise at stone circle is the Glasto ritual,” she captioned the slideshow.
