Emilie Kiser isn’t shying away from the tough questions while grieving the death of her 3-year-old son, Trigg.

After posting a “Get ready with me” video via TikTok on Wednesday, October 8, Kiser, 26, replied back to a few of her followers. One fan asked in the comments section whether she is “taking medication” amid the trying times, noting, “I’m a fellow griever and trying to figure it all out.”

Kiser responded back that she is not currently on any medication, according to People. The influencer, who also shares son Theodore, 6 months, with husband Brady Kiser, did share how she’s been handling the emotions that came after Trigg’s passing.

“[I] went to a grief retreat right after we lost Trigg and I was given some advice about it and chose to not move forward with anything after that,” Emilie wrote of her choice to eliminate drugs as a coping mechanism.

She advised the user to “absolutely talk to a professional and just do what’s best for you.”

Us Weekly confirmed in May that Emilie and Brady’s eldest son, Trigg, died after fatally drowning in their backyard pool in Arizona.

“The investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident remains ongoing. This is still an open investigation,” the Chandler, Arizona, Police Department told Us in a statement at the time. “Out of respect for the family’s privacy, we will not be releasing additional details until the investigation is closed.”

Us confirmed on June 2 that the investigation was officially closed. The following month, the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office released a statement saying there was “no likelihood of conviction” against Brady, who was home at the time of the drowning.

Emilie and Brady have since moved forward as a family, and she returned to social media in August.

“Loss of this magnitude feels impossible to put into words,” Emilie wrote via Instagram on August 28. “I’ve spent days, weeks, months trying to find them and also take the time I’ve needed to digest the loss of my baby.”

She continued, “Trigg is our baby and our best friend. The light and spirit he brought into this world was bright, pure, joyful and undeniable. We miss him every second of every day and continuing forward often feels unbearable. I never thought we would experience grief in this way or the pain of losing him so suddenly.”

Emilie revealed she takes “full accountability as Trigg’s mother, and I know I should have done more to protect him.” She added, “I hope amidst this pain, Trigg’s story will help prevent other children and families from suffering the same loss.”

The following month, Emilie returned to TikTok where she’s amassed more than 4.9 million followers. Emilie has continued to keep her followers updated as her family continues to grieve.

Emilie, who is now in therapy, told her social media followers on Tuesday, October 7, that she had the “random urge to say thank you to all health professionals.”

“The strength you carry helping others each day is something that makes me emotional, especially now thinking about our/my grief journey and what I talk to my therapist about,” she wrote via her Instagram Stories. “You guys are amazing 🤍.”
