Exes Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were both present at their eldest daughter North’s debut headlining concert.

North, 13, performed at the Vic Theatre in Chicago, West’s hometown, on Saturday, September 5, where both of her parents were spotted watching from the balcony. The rapper, 49, was dressed in a brown leather jacket and coordinating trousers as he filmed North’s set with his phone, per social media footage.

Kardashian, 45, for her part, shared videos from North’s show to her Instagram Stories later that night. The Skims mogul uploaded glimpses of the cheering crowd holding up DIY signs, including one that read, “We’re from the North West side,” and other moments of North’s performance.

Kardashian, who sported a black jacket with a high pony, also reposted her friends’ footage of the concert. “She was goin’ off!! Only 13, wow,” a caption read.

“She is homeschooled, and a lot of it is me helping her do a lot of the teachings and … we do a lot of realistic courses [of] things that she’s really into,” Kim revealed on a January episode of her sister Khloé Kardashian’s “Khloé in Wonderland” podcast, referring to North. “She’s really into math. We’ll give budgets and we’ll go around and we’ll get stuff and we’ll add it all up and subtract it all. She has a brand-building class. It’s, like, an actual course and a curriculum. [It’s] fully interactive learning, and she had an idea of making hats and making jewelry and all the things she wanted to make, so we made it a course.”

North’s homeschool curriculum even allows her time in the recording studio to work on her debut album, which is currently in development.

“It’s been so fun to see her blossom,” the Kardashians star gushed at the time. “I’ll add her writing out all her lyrics as part of her spelling tests. We do all of the things at home that she really enjoys and are challenging, and I think [people] would be proud to see how smart she really is and how creative she really is.”

According to Kim, North’s musical pursuits is “her bonding thing” with West.

“The music side and the producing isn’t my thing,” the mom of four explained. “Even just coming up with stuff, [Kanye and I] have to communicate about how North moves through that world and all these opportunities that come her way and having to filter that. Respecting his opinion on the things that go on with his kids is really important.”

North later planned to kick off her first-ever tour, Kimokawaii Tour, in August but the shows were canceled weeks earlier.
