Fergie celebrated a special occasion by sharing rare photos of her son Axl, whom she shares with her ex, Josh Duhamel.
The former couple’s son, Axl, just turned 12 and Fergie posted a rare carousel of throwback photos via her Instagram on Friday, August 29, to commemorate the birthday.
“Axl Jack, the preteen. 🥹🥹,” the Black Eyed Peas singer, 50, captioned the post. “I am so proud to see how independent you’re becoming and what a kind human you are.
Discovering everything you’re into and watching you grow brings such joy… I feel so lucky to be your mom.”
She finished off the sweet post by writing, “Happy 12th birthday punks! ✌️✌️I love you. 🎂🎂”
Fergie (real name Stacy Ann Ferguson) and Duhamel, 52, don’t regularly share information about their private lives, including their son and their coparenting journey.
However, on the rare occasion they do reference each other, both Fergie and Duhamel tend to say positive things about one another.
In April, the Las Vegas actor touched on his coparenting dynamic with Fergie, who he divorced in 2019.
Speaking to Parade, Duhamel said there was “very little conflict” between them as they prioritized the needs of Axl and raising him to the best of their abilities.
Duhamel and Fergie finalized their divorce in November 2019 following their separation two years prior. The actor has since moved on with current wife Audra Mari and the couple share son Shepherd, who is almost 2.
According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly at the time of their divorce, Duhamel and Fergie’s marriage was legally terminated after they reached an agreement on the terms of the judgment on November 22 2019. The pair previously announced their separation in September 2017, but the singer didn’t file for divorce until May 2019.

Duhamel and Fergie were first romantically linked in 2004 before Duhamel popped the question three years later. The pair tied the knot in Malibu in 2009 and went on to welcome Axl in 2013.
The exes announced their split after eight years of marriage in 2017 via a joint statement to Us Weekly where they insisted they still had “absolute love and respect” for one another despite the break up.
“We decided to separate as a couple earlier this year,” they told Us in a statement in September 2017. “To give our family the best opportunity to adjust, we wanted to keep this a private matter before sharing it with the public. We are and will always be united in our support of each other and our family.”
