Don’t leave home without them.
A long-time flight attendant has revealed a secret packing list for all cabin crew — with three items they’re required by international aviation law to carry on board for safety reasons.
Skye Taylor, 50, spent 16 years in the air with Virgin Atlantic — and now she’s spilling key details on what goes on behind the scenes at cruising altitude.
According to the expert, the top three items flight attendants must carry with them at all times are a passport, a flashlight, and a CPR mask — in case anyone goes into cardiac arrest.
“Even though some people think we don’t need a passport, we do,” she told Luxury Travel Daily, according to Jam Press.
The flashlight is crucial during emergency evacuations, while the face mask helps employees safely resucitate someone in need.
“Sadly, I’ve had to use mine three times,” she added.
Taylor also recommends passengers carry a basic face mask when flying, “just in case.”
Beyond safety essentials, her crew bag includes everything from lip balm to pajamas and even a hot water bottle for those chilly flights.
“The other, [less minor] thing that the crew carry with them is a water bottle. We’re constantly dehydrated,” she said.
The travel expert also suggests everyone bring adapters and chargers that will work wherever you’re traveling to and from — and don’t lose them.
“I’ve spent so much money on the amount of adapters I’ve lost over the years,” Taylor admitted.
She also travels with a pair of flats to help her run to her gate and then slips her heels on before boarding.
Taylor and her fellow crew members will also bring homemade food to share comforts with their colleagues.
With countless hours in the air, the flight attendant knows what keeps the crew comfortable and prepared.
“You can get quite a lot of things in that crew bag,” she laughs — including those all-important hairpins and a never-ending supply of tights.
