Former Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky is sticking by her decision to move houses.
“BIG NEWS for our family!!! We sold our house,” Fedotowsky, 40, wrote via Instagram on Monday, June 2, also referring to husband Kevin Manno and their two children: Molly, 8, and Riley, 6. “We’re not 100 percent sure where we are going yet, but we’re excited for this new chapter nonetheless! More to come soon.”
In response, a social media user asked why Fedotowsky and Manno, 41, would want to leave their “gorgeous” abode.
“If there’s one thing I’ve learned in life, having beautiful things doesn’t make you happy,” Fedotowsky replied in the comments section. “Experiences, people and health to do!”
Earlier this year, Manno was diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer that required surgery.
“He has 2 malignant spots on his right side and it appears it is also in one lymph node, but we won’t know for sure until his surgery,” Fedotowsky wrote via Instagram in January. “If the surgeon gets in there and determines the whole thing has to be removed regardless, we will, of course, move forward with that. But going into the surgery, he has a choice to be aggressive or leave half if possible. Thank you all for the love and support you’ve always shown us. We are grateful.”

“The surgery went great, and they only had to take half out! We went in, not knowing if they’d have to take the whole thing or half,” Fedotowsky wrote via Instagram on February 28. “Thankfully, it did not metastasize through his lymph nodes, and it really was the best possible scenario.”
She continued, “Happy to report that this guy’s thyroid pathology report came back negative! Meaning the cancer is totally gone. After his surgery, they took the thyroid to have it tested to make sure they got all the margins. We are so pumped that they did and he is smooth sailing from here on out! Well, I guess once we figure out his medication dose, which will happen soon, hopefully.”
Fedotowsky and Manno initially moved to Nashville from Los Angeles in 2021, purchasing what they told Us Weekly was their “dream home.”
“My husband and I both feel so fortunate to live in this home. We found it when it was just a framed house and even though there wasn’t even drywall on the walls yet, we just knew it was the perfect home for us,” she exclusively told Us in 2022. “I chose every light fixture, every piece of hardware and all the little details. Really the only thing I didn’t choose was the layout since that was already set when we found it. So, we really did get the opportunity to make it our dream home, even though we didn’t technically build it. I wake up grateful for this home every single morning.”
