Bachelorette alum Emily Maynard’s daughter, Ricki Hendrick, is officially a mom.
Ricki, 20, confirmed the arrival of her first baby on Friday, January 23. “Best day ever,” she wrote via Instagram alongside a photo of her a doctor showing her the newborn shortly after giving birth.
Ricki also shared a photo of her mom, 39, holding her first grandchild at the hospital.
Ricki’s happy news comes five months after she announced in August 2025 that she was pregnant with baby No. 1. At the time, she posted an ultrasound photo via her Instagram Story alongside a quote from Love Island USA’s Huda Mustafa: “Netflix told me I’m not allowed to talk about it.”

In a follow-up slide, Ricki shared a video of her baby moving in utero, writing, “My heart is so full, yet my stomach is so empty because she hates all food. I’m convinced.”
Ricki is the daughter of Maynard and her late fiancé, Ricky Hendrick, who died in a 2004 airplane accident at age 24. Maynard discovered she was pregnant with Ricki after Hendrick’s death. She welcomed her first child at age 19, naming her Josephine Riddick Hendrick and calling her Ricki in honor of her late father.
Bachelor Nation got to know Maynard when she appeared on Brad Womack’s season 15 of The Bachelor in 2011. Although the pair got engaged, they called it quits shortly after the cameras stopped rolling and Maynard later became the lead for season 8 of The Bachelorette in 2012. She once again got engaged to Jef Holm, but the duo split three months later.
Maynard moved on with Tyler Johnson, whom she married in 2014. The couple expanded their family with the addition of sons Jennings in 2015, Gibson in 2016, Gatlin in 2017 and Jones in 2022, as well as daughter Magnolia in 2020.

In September, Maynard broke her silence on Ricki’s pregnancy in a teasing Instagram Story video. Ricki shared a question from a follower who asked her family’s opinion on her welcoming a “baby outside of marriage.”
Maynard then appeared in the clip with a sarcastic response.
“Very against it,” she quipped. “I cannot believe anybody would ever do that. Unforgivable.”
Ricki subsequently posted a second Instagram Story video joking about Maynard’s reaction to the news that she was going to be a grandparent.
“My mom is truthfully so devastated, she’s so upset,” she said sarcastically as she showed items Maynard had bought, including a new crib and a book about grandmothers.
She added, “She’s not excited at all for me to have a baby. She’s pissed, actually. She’s super angry. She can’t even look at me. She doesn’t support it at all. She is pissed.”
In her accompanying caption, Ricki clarified, “These are all things she got on her own and she is not done. This is all stuff at her house too, not even my own.”
The following month, Ricki showed her followers that Maynard was still purchasing items for the baby.
“Will [you] buy my Zara cart?” she asked her mom in a text shared via her Instagram Story. “It’s all baby clothes.”
Ricki joked in her caption, “@emilygmaynard a.k.a. Memaw Maynard is enabling a second generation monster.”
