Retired NFL star Emmanuel Acho called out Tiger Woods in the wake of the famed golfer’s latest DUI arrest.

“Tiger, you got too many responsibilities, too much money, too much wisdom, and too many grey hairs to, at this big age, in this big year of 2026, be going to jail for DUIs,” Acho, 35, said during the Sunday, March 29, episode of his late-night sports talk show, Speakeasy.

The former linebacker highlighted that Woods, 50, has a lot at stake as not only a professional golfer but a cultural icon, adding that he believes the pro should not be making careless mistakes at this point in his life.

“You got kids, you got a family name, you’re an incredibly impactful, significant and successful figure,” Acho explained. “And beyond all of that, this isn’t your first incident. So, for me, this is what happens when you let too many things go by.”

“Mr. Woods did a breathalyzer test, blew triple zeros, but when it came time for us to ask for a urinalysis test, he refused,” Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek said in a press conference, adding that “Woods did exemplify signs of impairment.”

Budensiek further alleged that Woods drove his Land Rover at an accelerated speed and ended up clipping the other vehicle — a pickup truck pulling a small trailer — resulting in his car being flipped on its side. Woods was able to “crawl out of the passenger door of the car” after the accident. Us Weekly has reached out to Woods for comment.

Woods’ straight-faced mugshot was released on March 28 by the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.
