Heidi Klum brought the spooky spirit to her annual Halloween bash by dressing up as an oversized severed hand — modeled after herself.

“My inspiration was my hand,” Klum, 53, told Good Morning America on the Saturday, October 31, red carpet. “It is actually my hand, like, even the veins and everything. You know how everything you can now do with 3D [printing]? They scan you and everything?”

For the Saturday party, Klum was covered in prosthetics to resemble a giant version of her own hand, complete with red nail polish and an array of rings on multiple fingers. The ensemble was customized by her longtime collaborator, Mike Marino.

“We started at 3:00 today, so today wasn’t so bad,” the Project Runway host quipped of her glam process.

The German supermodel has long been considered the Queen of Halloween, organizing elaborate festive gatherings and going above-and-beyond with her costume nearly every year.

“I always love to do something unexpected,” she told Vogue ahead of the party. “Every year, I want to surprise people and do something that they haven’t seen me — or anyone — do before. Halloween is my favorite time of year because I get to completely transform myself and become something totally different.”

She continued, “I love the idea of taking something so common, and that we see every single day, something we probably never even think twice about, and turning it into something larger than life. I thought it would be funny and bizarre to take something so familiar and twist it.”

Klum, who was escorted down the red carpet by individuals in hazmat suits, was insistent that the costume accurately represent her anatomy and her daily jewelry.

“We even recreated my engagement ring and wedding band, as well as the little tattoo on my finger,” Klum noted to the fashion magazine. “Nothing was overlooked! I love that Mike pays attention to things that most people might not even notice at first. The details make these costumes so special. It’s not just any giant hand: It’s my giant hand!”

After walking the red carpet, Klum shed her hand costume and enjoyed the 25th anniversary party in a skin-tight, bloodied outfit.

“By the end of the night, I’m usually ready to get out of my costume,” Klum teased to Vogue. “Some of these transformations take so much time to get into, and getting out of them can be an adventure in itself.”

With the party now in the rearview, Klum is already gearing up for the 2027 holiday.

“November 1 is also when I start thinking about next year,” Klum noted. “I’m always collecting ideas, so even when Halloween is over, my brain is already working on what I could possibly become next.”
