Many people across the country are celebrating Easter today. Whether you celebrate the holy holiday or not, you might need to run to a store for a last-minute grocery run.
Consumers nationwide planned a boycott of major retailers, such as Walmart, CVS and Starbucks — this weekend, called “Economic Blackout 2.0.” It’s supposedly a protest against retailers who have scaled back on DEI policies.
Understandably, this has confused Americans about which major retail stores are actually keeping their doors open on Easter Sunday.
To clear things up, here are all of the major retail stores that are staying open today — and those that have closed their doors. Remember to check a store’s hours — if they are open — since that will most likely vary due to the holiday.
Stores that are open today
Home Depot
The home improvement retail store is open today.
A Home Depot spokesperson told TODAY.com that stores will remain open on Easter Sunday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Walmart
Walmart will be open during regular hours today.
BJ’s Wholesale Club
The majority of BJ’s stores are open today.
Kroger
A Kroger spokesperson confirmed to TODAY.com that most stores will be open and operate during regular business hours today.
Whole Foods
Whole Foods is operating business as usual on this holiday.
CVS
The retail store is open today.
Stop & Shop
The go-to grocer for many is keeping its doors open today.
Starbucks
Many stores across the country are open today, however, a Starbucks rep told TODAY.com that “Store hours vary by location and stores may occasionally adjust their hours based on business and customer needs.”
Wegmans
Feel free to make a last-minute dessert run to Wegmans, since all stores will remain open today.

Lowe’s closed their doors today “to show appreciation to Lowe’s associates for their dedication to serving their customers,” according to ABC News.
