Hugh Jackman was Sutton Foster’s No. 1 cheerleader as she prepared to headline the New York Philharmonic’s Spring Gala.

Foster, 50, performed at the annual benefit held at Lincoln Center’s David Geffen Hall — singing Broadway tunes and pop standards with the NYPHIL for the first time in her career — on Tuesday, May 6, to rave reviews. Jackman, 56, however, was not present as the evening overlapped with the performance schedule of his off-Broadway show, Sexual Misconduct of the Middle Classes. (Jackman stars in the Minetta Lane production alongside Hollywood stars Liev Schreiber, Justice Smith, Ella Beatty and Maggie Siff.) As Foster proudly told the audience, her 8-year-old daughter, Emily, was present for the show.

But before Foster’s momentous Philharmonic debut, she was able to lean on Jackman. A source exclusively tells Us Weekly that the Australian actor attended a pre-performance rehearsal earlier on Tuesday, and the couple left the venue together.

Us broke the news exclusively in November 2024 that Foster and Jackman started dating after working on the Broadway revival of The Music Man two years prior.
