He’s sleeping on the couch tonight.

A husband recently shared the type of dress men supposedly love on women, and it caused quite the stir online.

This debatable conversation came about when a woman shared on X (formerly Twitter) what she thinks are the “kind of dresses that are actually attractive to men.”

She defended her case by writing: “because they accentuate the hip to waist ratio, while being classy and elegant. They are just sexy enough to be attractive and flattering, but not crass or cheap looking.”

The tweeter shared two photos of women wearing the specific type of dress she was referring to: floor-length, off-the-shoulder, very covered-up, flowy gowns.

That tweet received almost 15 million views, with hundreds of both men and women debating this hot take.

“Men like slutty attire if the woman is hot. Guys who say otherwise are virtue signaling,” read one tweet.

“I’m pretty sure men aren’t attracted to dresses unless they have a fetish,” chimed in someone else.

A woman in the comment section took things a step further by going straight to the source and asking her husband to send her a picture of a dress that he found attractive.

And the answer she received was the total opposite of the “flattering but not cheap looking” dresses described in the original tweet.

The dress that this husband sent his wife a picture of was a teeny-tiny black, body-hugging, leather mini dress with an open back.

Of course, that kept the spicy conversation going, but this time, people were attacking the woman’s husband.

“I would divorce him,” one tweet read.

“He doesn’t love you,” someone else wrote.

“oh. so he watches A LOT of porn…” another person chimed in.

And this isn’t the first time a guy has commented on attractive things women wear and got ripped apart for it.

A sports fan named Nicklaus Daniel took to TikTok to share what he described as “the hottest thing a girl can wear” — a slicked back ponytail, paired with big gold hoop earrings, a black top under an “oversized” sports team jacket and Air Jordan sneakers.

“Literally anybody who wears this looks good…That combo right there, I don’t care who you are, you look hot,” he declared about the specific outfit.

And as expected, many people were not thrilled with Daniel’s opinion.

“I’ll never take fashion advice from a man,” scoffed a commenter

Another wrote, “Who cares about what men like anyway?”

“Thank god I don’t dress for the male gaze,” said someone else.
