Jamie Lee Curtis said she is “much closer” to Jake and Romy Reiner following their parents’ deaths.

The actress, who was a close friend of the late Rob and Michele Reiner, told Extra on Friday, November 5, that the tragic loss had strengthened her bond with Jake and Romy.

“Of course, I mean, we are family,” Curtis, 67, told the outlet of the siblings. “Something like this brings people so much closer. Like Jake and I were sitting shoulder-to-shoulder doing an interview…. and just feeling him there is emotional, and then of course him talking about his parents and their fantastic relationship.”

Rob and Michele died in late December 2025 at the ages of 78 and 70, respectively. The couple’s son Nick was arrested in connection to his parents’ killings but pleaded not guilty and is currently awaiting trial.
