Jennifer Lopez is sharing her relatable reaction to her 18-year-old twins, Max and Emme, graduating from high school.

“Tomorrow, one of them graduates. Don’t talk about it ‘cos we start crying. I’ve been crying for two months,” the Office Romance star said on the Wednesday, May 27, episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Lopez, 56, revealed that Max and Emme — whom she shares with ex-husband Marc Anthony — go to two different high schools and will also go off to two different colleges in the fall.

“It’s fine. I want them to be happy, go where they want to go, and do what they want to do,” the proud mama shared.

Lopez said she recently wrote ads for the twins’ high school yearbooks, recalling how emotional she became while sitting down to pen messages about her children.

“When I tell you, the tears… two days it took me to write those things,” she said.

Despite their mom being a world-famous actress and singer, Lopez shared that she plans to help Max and Emme move into their college dorms just like any other mom.

“Absolutely. Oh, yeah. I do all the things,” she responded when host Jimmy Kimmel asked if she’d be moving them in herself.

Lopez then went on to reveal her hopes that the twins might not want to stay on campus for too long.

“We’re going to pack up their rooms here, and they’re going to take all of the things that they want to take to their dorm. And then they’re gonna realize that their dorms are too small and they’re gonna miss home, I hope, and want to come back real soon,” she admitted. “That’s my plan.”

Although she will miss having her kids at home, the multi-hyphenate star said she is ready for Max and Emme to fly the nest and begin the next chapter in their lives.

“I remember being that age and thinking I couldn’t wait to get out in the world and do my thing. I really wanted to get out,” she said. “All year people have been asking me, ‘Oh, they’re going away to college, is it going to be terrible?’ No, it’s going to be great. I want them to go out there. I want them to do what they want to do. They have big dreams. They have things they want to do. It’s going to be great.”

During her Kimmel appearance on Wednesday, Lopez also touched on her love life, sharing that she’s happy being single following her 2025 divorce from Ben Affleck.

“I’m good right now. I’m happy,” the actress said.
