Jessie James Decker loves making music and going out on tour, but lately she’s realized that it’s best to take a break from the road and be home with family.

When asked by a fan whether or not she’d ever tour again, Decker, 37, responded via Instagram Stories on Saturday, July 26.

“One day. I’ve struggled with the emotions of it all lately because I love touring & singing,” Decker, who launched her music career at 17, responded. “That’s what I’ve done my whole life, people forget but that’s how I got started in this business. But I struggled this last time leaving the babies that I knew I needed to take a beat.”

She continued, “My kids need me. “They’re so little and I don’t want to miss anything. I know the stage is always there for me when I’m ready again.”

Like most celebrity parents in the public eye, Jessie James Decker is no stranger to being mom-shamed. “There was definitely a time when it used to get to me,” Decker, 35 — who shares Vivianne, 9, Eric Jr., 7, and Forrest, 5 —with her husband of 10 years, former NFL player Eric Decker, 36 — […]

Jessie shares children Vivianne, 11, Eric Jr., 9, Forrest, 7, and Denver, 17 months, with husband Eric Decker. The singer and former NFL player, who tied the knot in June 2013, don’t plan on further expanding their brood after welcoming their fourth baby last year.

“[Eric] is snipped, so if I were to get knocked up again, it’s because of that two percent chance,” Jessie told Us Weekly in March. “Denver’s starting to walk, which is cool. We’re obviously not sleeping very much, [but] it’s amazing to be able to do it all over again. It’s fun that the kids are older and getting to do this with us, watching their little baby brother grow up. Eric and I look at each other and we’re like, ‘How did we get here?’ It’s been really special for our family.”

Jessie has still been keen on getting back into music as she recently released an empowering duet with fellow mom and singer Jana Kramer, titled “Do It in Heels.”

“As soon as I had my last baby, I was blown away by the amount of different moms from the school bringing in meals and bringing candles and they had a [text] chain. I’d never experienced anything like that. It was just women supporting women. It was so beautiful. And that’s what I love about this song is it’s the same message, you know — women who can do it all and do it with a smile on your face,” Jessie told Us last month after the song’s debut.

She quickly added, “And not because you need to put a smile on your face, but because you’re a badass and this is what we do. We can multitask and, you know, make a pie and go do our jobs and feed the babies at the same time.”

Jessie took to social media to praise Kramer, 41, for recording the song with her, writing via Instagram, “This was so much fun to do together, I love our sisterhood and how we were able to bring it to life through song!!! What an incredible message to the girlies!!! I love you!! Now let’s do it in heeeeeels.”

Jessie and Eric, 38, recently enjoyed a weeks-long trip to Italy with their family, and she got to relax and recharge during the kids’ summer break.

“Another family adventure in the books,” she shared via Instagram on Wednesday, July 23. “Anytime we ask the kids to tell us their favorite memories over the years, they always say it’s the adventures together, whether it’s long road trips, our Florida summers or just a couple hours cross the state lines chatting it up playing car games and a stop at Cracker Barrel. Ya never regret takin’ the trip, only not taking it so just take it! Many of you dm me ‘how do you handle travel with the kids?’ I’m not gonna lie, there are moments where it’s hard BUT the magical moments and memories we create together as a family are worth it all!”
