John Stamos is showing “solidarity” amid Full House costar Dave Coulier’s cancer battle.

Stamos, 61, took to social media on Monday, November 18, to share photos in which the actors smiled together, both revealing their bald heads. Stamos’ head, however, was a product of prosthetics — and some skilled editing.

“Nothing like throwing on a bald cap and flexing some Photoshop skills to show some love and solidarity with my bro @dcoulier,” he shared via Instagram. “You’re handling this with so much strength and positivity — it’s inspiring. I know you’re going to get through this, and I’m proud to stand with you every step of the way. I love you.”

Stamos’ photo carousel included a shot of him apparently buzzing the hair on the back of Coulier’s head, and another in which both he and Coulier’s wife, Melissa Bring, kiss the top of the actor’s clean-shaven dome. In his caption, Stamos called Melissa “the most wonderfulest — your true life line!”

In the comments, Melissa replied, “We love you so, so much.”

Meanwhile, Candace Cameron Bure, who played Coulier’s niece DJ Tanner on the iconic ABC sitcom, wrote, “This is fantastic,” and dropped four red-heart emojis. Andrea Barber, who portrayed annoying neighbor Kimmy Gibbler, gushed: “I love you guys so much.”

Coulier, 65, was diagnosed with stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma, a “very aggressive” cancer, in October after an upper respiratory infection caused severe swelling of his lymph node. He announced his diagnosis on Wednesday, November 14, and Stamos honored him via Instagram later that day. “My brother from day 1,” Stamos, 61, wrote, sharing photos of the duo over the years.

Coulier explained to People last week how he learned that he had cancer.

Actor Dave Coulier has stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma, he revealed in an interview with People, published on Wednesday, November 13. The Full House alum, 65, is currently undergoing treatment and hopes to be in remission when he completes his chemotherapy in February 2025. After a bone marrow test came back negative, Coulier said the recovery […]

“I went from, ‘I got a little bit of a head cold’ to ‘I have cancer,’ and it was pretty overwhelming,” he said, noting it hadn’t spread to his bone marrow. “At that point, my chances of curable went from something low to [the] 90 percent range. And so that was a great day.”

Coulier, who’s undergoing chemotherapy treatment, told the outlet that he hadn’t wanted his Full House castmates to hear about his condition “from someone else, so I sent a text message out. It was just this outpouring of, ‘I will be there. You just name the time, and I know you’re in great hands with [wife Melissa], but what can we do?’ It really is overwhelming the love that we have for each other. We’ve been there for so many years for each other, and it’s pretty remarkable.”

“He goes, ‘If you want to just sleep, I’ll just sit by you. Or if you want to listen to music or just talk, whatever,’” Coulier recalled Stamos telling him. “And I’m just like, ‘Wow. That’s, like, a brother. That’s just truly a brother.’”

Full House, which ran from 1987 to 1995, followed Danny (Bob Saget) as he attempted to raise his three daughters — D.J. (Cameron Bure), Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) and Michelle (Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen) — after his wife’s death. Danny’s brother-in-law, Jesse (Stamos), and best friend Joey (Coulier) subsequently moved in to help him out. Most of the original cast returned for the Netflix revival, Fuller House, which aired from 2016 to 2020.

In 2022, the cast mourned the loss of Saget, who died at age 65 in his Orlando, Florida, hotel room. One month later, the Orange County, Florida, medical examiner confirmed that Saget’s passing was the result of “blunt head trauma” from an “accidental” fall.
