Kanye West decided to name his next album Bully after hearing that his 9-year-old son, Saint, was allegedly acting like one.

“My son was playing with some kid and then he kicked him,” West, 47, said on a recent episode of Justin Laboy’s “The Download” podcast. “I asked my son, like, ‘Why did you do that?’ He said, ‘Cause he weak.’ I was like, ‘This man is really a bully, right here.’”

In addition to Saint, West and ex-wife Kim Kardashian share daughters North, 11, and Chicago, 7, and son Psalm, 5.

According to West, Saint particularly plays rough with his peers.

Followers of Ye, 46, know two things about his music: it’s never released on time and he thinks it’s the greatest ever produced. “Saint do that [and] just kick everybody and, like, push him over,” West quipped.

North also inspired parts of West’s Bully, namely regarding its release date.

“My oldest said, ‘Bring it out in June,’ so we’re gonna do it on [North’s] birthday ‘cause that’s her favorite album so far,” he stated, later gushing about watching her follow in his musical footsteps. “I’m just thinking about how her album is going to be, like, how insane. Everything that I learned [and] that I could have it flow through her and for her to become the next frontier.”

He added, “We’re, like, the kings in Africa or something where it’s just passed down. I’m the hands-down greatest [and] she gonna be the greatest.”

North announced in March 2024 that her debut album will be called Elementary School Dropout, a nod to her dad’s LP College Dropout. Music is just one of North’s many passions.

“[I want to be a] basketball player, a rapper,” she said in an i-D magazine cover story in October 2023, noting she also plans to run mom Kardashian’s Skims empire eventually. “Well, when I was 7, I wanted to be a boxer. But now I don’t want to be a boxer.”

North added at the time, “I’m going to do art on the side. When I’m, like, 13, I want to walk dogs to make money to buy art supplies, because everything around here is so expensive. So a rapper, a basketball player, and I’m going to make artwork that I sell.”

While North’s record doesn’t have its own release date yet, she also has Kardashian’s support.

“I thought I was busy before, [but] having to be her momager right now is crazy,” Kardashian, 44, said in a trailer for Hulu’s The Kardashians season 6. “Ah, I’m Kris Jenner, oh, my God, what’s happening?”

Kris, 69, has famously managed all of her children’s careers, including Kim, Kourtney Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner.
