Kelly Osbourne’s son, Sidney, is following in his late grandfather Ozzy Osbourne’s footsteps this Halloween season.

The 2-year-old paid homage to the Prince of Darkness on Friday, October 31, by recreating Ozzy’s infamous stunt where he bit off the head of a bat during a 1980s concert. Sidney, however, used a toy bat to get into the spooky spirit.

Kelly, 41, posted a clip of Sidney wearing a skeleton top and leggings set and red cowboy boots on Friday while holding his gray bat toy. “What are you doing?” Kelly’s fiancé, Sid Wilson, asked in the video shared via TikTok, before Sidney bit the head off the plushie.

When Sidney dropped the head, he had a big smile on his face reminiscent of Ozzy’s cheeky grin he often had on stage after one of his iconic performances. Sidney also let out a little giggle as he played on Halloween.

Ozzy Osbourne sold more than 100 million records worldwide between his solo career and his days as a member of Black Sabbath prior to his death in 2025. The England native got his start in 1967 when he joined bassist Geezer Butler’s first band, Rare Breed, as a vocalist. Although the group didn’t last long, […]

“Learned from the greatest, Papa!” Kelly captioned the video, which she set to Ozzy’s “Crazy Train.”

Sidney’s goofy video is a nod to Ozzy’s 1982 viral moment when he ripped off the head of a live bat on stage. While the bat incident was controversial, Ozzy embraced all the attention it garnered before his death in July at the age of 76.

“I know when I eventually do leave this place, it’s going to be, ‘Ah, the man who bit the head off the bat — he joined the bat today,’” Ozzy told People in 2022. “I mean, I’ve achieved quite a lot in my life, but all people do is go, ‘Ozzy, what do bats really taste like? Was it dead?’ But I’ll tell you what, when they gave me the rabies shot, I wasn’t smiling.”

Kelly Osbourne met Sid Wilson two decades before they started dating — and it was all thanks to dad Ozzy Osbourne. The bat moment was one of many reasons Ozzy’s fans were enthralled by him throughout his career. The rocker was a born entertainer as a solo artist and the lead singer of Black Sabbath. However, at home he was just dad to his six kids.

The “Iron Man” singer shared Elliot, Louis and Jessica with ex-wife Thelma Riley, whom he was married to from 1971 to 1982.

Ozzy married wife Sharon Osbourne in 1982 and they were together until his death. The couple shared daughters Aimee and Kelly and son Jack.

“I love my dad more than anything in the world. I’m so proud of him and everything he’s facing and all the challenges that come his way and how he just seems to get through it every single time,” Kelly exclusively told Us Weekly in October 2024, referring to Ozzy’s battle with Parkinson’s disease, which began in 2019. “There’s no one like him. He truly is an iron man.”

Like her love for her late father, Kelly’s pride in her son, Sidney, has been apparent from the moment he was born.

“I don’t remember life before having the baby because everything has changed. I didn’t realize just how powerful the feeling of love was [going to be] when you have the baby. It’s the most … addictive feeling I have ever felt,” Kelly told Us in October 2024. “You realize in that one second, ‘You’ve given me purpose like nothing has ever given me before.’ I don’t think I had purpose. I went from thing to thing to [the next] thing.”
