While Love Is Blind season 8 only saw five proposals during the pod experiment, there was at least one more couple who got together.
“From the pods to reality — what a journey!” Kylie Schuelke and Brian Sumption wrote via joint Instagram post on Sunday, February 16. “Grateful for every moment, every lesson, and everyone I met along the way. Love Is Blind — you were a wild, unforgettable ride 💕.”
Kylie, 28, and Brian, 30, posed in front of Troubadour Wine Bar, the local Minneapolis haunt he owns with a pair of Netflix-branded gold goblets. In one pic, they even shared a sweet kiss for the camera.
Kylie and Brian’s pod connection wasn’t featured in the first drop of season 8, which premiered on Netflix on Friday, February 14.
“We told more stories than we’ve ever told. We told the stories of 16 people this season, which is why we have more pod episodes,” show creator Chris Coelen told Variety earlier this month. “There were two other engaged couples we didn’t follow.”

It is not immediately known whether Kylie and Brian got engaged or are just dating. They also recently cohosted a LiB watch party at Troubadour on Tuesday, February 18.
“A night to remember spent with some of our favorite people! 🥂✨ ,” Kylie gushed via Instagram.

Love Is Blind season 8 (spoiler alert) saw five proposals between Daniel Hasting and Taylor Haag, Joey Leveille and Monica Danús, Dave Bettenburg and Lauren O’Brien, Ben Mezzenga and Sara Carton, as well as Devin Buckley and Virginia Miller. Fellow pod participant Madison Errichiello’s love triangle with Alex Brown and Mason Horacek was also prominently featured in the first batch of episodes though all three returned home single.
While speaking with Variety, Coelen defended how his production team chose who to highlight in the six, hour-long episodes set in the pods.
“We film everything and then we go back and look at how we got there. We put the pieces together. As always, we’re trying to pick the stories that resonate and that we feel are worthy of telling because they lean into authenticity,” Coelen explained. “When we first started making the show, the pods were a couple of episodes. People love the pods. … There are real, intense, incredible love stories that unfold in really fascinating ways in the pods [and] there are unbelievable love triangles.”
He added, “When we first started making the show, we thought we didn’t have time to tell stories of love triangles. But we now embrace the fact that it’s incredibly emotional, dramatic, messy and aspirational.”
Love Is Blind is currently streaming on Netflix. New episodes drop weekly.
