Love Is Blind season 1 star Cameron Hamilton is in awe of his wife, Lauren Speed-Hamilton, as she navigates in vitro fertilization.

“Happy Birthday & Happy 6th Anniversary to the love of my life!!! It is a gift to journey through life with you and see you grow each day,” Cameron, 34, wrote via Instagram on Saturday, November 16. “You winning a legacy award in the evening, then going through IVF in the morning is just one example of who you are.”

He added, “You inspire me to be a better man and I’m so grateful for the life we’ve built together. I hope you’ll let me digitally preserve your consciousness one day because the world needs you and I do too. I love you.”

Cameron and Lauren, 37, met during the first season of Netflix’s Love Is Blind, which aired in 2020. After they tied the knot, they have been candid about their hopes to expand their family.

“We definitely are starting our family planning,” Lauren exclusively told Us Weekly in April 2021. “I’m not pregnant, let me preface by saying, however, we do have a little fur baby. His name is Spark. So, he’s our child for now and our work is our child.”

Two years later, Cameron slammed the overwhelming comments questioning when they would have a baby.

“Can we agree that it’s inappropriate to ask couples when they are going to have a baby? I made this video not just for the thousands of times Lauren and I get pressured, but for all the couples who undergo this same scrutiny,” Cameron captioned an April 2023 Instagram video. “Couples share with me all the time how hurtful it is when they are pressured about having kids, especially since oftentimes they are struggling to conceive. Let’s show compassion for couples by appreciating them for who they are and letting them share their baby journey when and if they choose to.”

In the footage, the AI scientist doubled down on his stance and noted that “you don’t know what couples are going through at the end of the day.”

Cameron and Lauren first detailed their IVF experience during an October episode of their “Love Seat” podcast.

“When I saw what you were going through in terms of of taking the medications, doing the daily shots, knowing that IVF and all this stuff wasn’t really something that you naturally wanted to do but you did it for me — you showed me a new level of love that I’d never seen before,” Cameron said, concurring with his wife’s sentiment that journey strengthened their connection.

He added, “As men, our first instinct, it seems, is to want to fix things. When we’ve been struggling to conceive, my first instinct is to dive into the research on fertility, IVF, try to consume everything I can [and] come up with a strategy, how are we going to improve the next time.”
