Matty Healy‘s younger brother, Louis Healy, didn’t need to think too long about what sets the siblings apart.
In a TikTok shared via the U.K.’s Metro Entertainment, the 24-year-old actor was asked about the biggest similarities and differences between himself and the 35-year-old singer.
“Biggest similarities? We’re both f—ing legends,” Louis teased before offering a more serious answer. “Probably our actual mannerisms. How we speak and communicate, our laugh sounds the same.”
Louis acknowledged that “some people think we look lots alike,” but others disagree.
When it comes to their differences, Louis was quick on his feet. “I like to keep my opinions to myself,” he said with a laugh. “And my brother likes to say them quite publicly. Usually on Twitter, arguing with some person.”
According to Louis, his older brother might be changing his ways. “[He’s] slowly starting to learn … but he’s definitely learning the hard way,” he joked.

Louis is currently starring as Henry Creel in the West End production of Stranger Things: The First Shadow. Matty, meanwhile, has been a controversial figure throughout his time in the public eye as frontman of The 1975.
While the band has been supported by a dedicated fan base since 2013, Matty was faced with a new level of attention when he was linked to Taylor Swift following her 2023 split from Joe Alwyn. The musicians had a history — the twosome previously sparked dating rumors in 2014 when they were seen wearing each other’s merch — and a circle of mutual friends, including Jack Antonoff. However, their rekindled romance was short-lived.

He subsequently apologized, but it was far from the first time he’s been called out online. Over the years, Matty has deleted and reactivated his social media accounts countless times due to public scrutiny.
Following her fling with Matty, Swift, 35, moved on with boyfriend Travis Kelce. Matty, for his part, is engaged to Gabbriette Bechtel.
Despite their differences, Louis has always looked up to his older brother. Earlier this year, Louis opened up about how Matty has informed his own career as an artist.
“He’s in a slightly different field, but he’s a performer, and he has been for as long as I can remember, and I think he’s done a lot for me,” he told A2Z Magazine. “He did a lot for me in the last few years, I was reaching a bit of a point where I felt my career was going a bit stale. I wasn’t content necessarily with where I was, you know, having someone as close as a brother, who’d been there and had all those experiences that I was having. So he’s been a huge mentor for me.”
