The 10 most popular movies on Netflix are constantly in flux, but some titles seem to float to the top and stay there.
Netflix’s original action film Exterritorial is enjoying its second week in a row at No. 1, and it’s been joined by two of the Twilight films.
Watch With Us has taken that top 10 list and narrowed our choices to the three movies you should watch right now.
This week’s picks include a long overdue sequel, another Netflix original action flick and a very underrated sci-fi comedy starring Seth Rogen.
‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ (2024)
Wednesday‘s Jenna Ortega seemed like she’d be perfect for a Tim Burton movie after working with the director on that hit Netflix show. So it’s fitting that their first big-screen collaboration, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, is now streaming on Netflix ahead of Wednesday season 2. Ortega plays Astrid Deetz, the teenage daughter of the first film’s heroine, Lydia Deetz (Winona Ryder). Astrid and Lydia don’t get along, and the former doesn’t believe that her mom can see ghosts.
Following their return to Winter River, Connecticut, for the funeral of Lydia’s father, Astrid discovers the hard way that her mother isn’t a charlatan and ghosts are real. When Astrid is tricked into going into the afterlife, Lydia has no choice but to turn to Beetlejuice (Michael Keaton), who’s still lusting after her three decades later. Beetlejuice is also being hunted by his vengeful ex-wife, Delores LaFerve (Monica Bellucci), and she knows how to kill a ghost.

‘Havoc’ (2025)
For his second original movie on Netflix, The Raid director Gareth Evans attracted some mainstream actors including Tom Hardy, Timothy Olyphant and Forest Whitaker. However, Hardy has the biggest role out of all three as Patrick Walker, a cop on the take from the man who may be the next mayor, Lawrence Beaumont (Whitaker). Beaumont also has leverage on Walker that could end his career.
Walker is far more valuable to Beaumont on the streets after his son, Charlie (Justin Cornwell), and Charlie’s partner, Mia (Quelin Sepulveda), are framed for murdering a Triad boss and caught in the middle of a gang war. Beaumont wants Walker to find Charlie and keep him safe, but he should have ordered backup for himself. Because the Triads are seizing control of the city, and Beaumont is next on their hit list.
Havoc is streaming on Netflix.
‘Paul’ (2011)
The title character of Paul is a little grey alien voiced by Seth Rogen, who is about as far from E.T. as it possibly gets. After decades in U.S. custody, Paul is free and has one more mission on Earth before he wants to go home. But if he wants to outrun Special Agent Lorenzo Zoil (Jason Bateman), then he’ll need the help of a pair of sci-fi fanboys, Graeme Willy (Simon Pegg) and Clive Gollings (Nick Frost).
Clive and Graeme are initially put off by Paul’s crude demeanor, but they befriend him pretty quickly. Paul also demonstrates some of his special abilities that make him so valuable to the Big Guy (Sigourney Weaver), and she’s not about to let him escape on her watch.
Paul is streaming on Netflix.
