A student assistant at Ohio State University has been charged with sex crimes that allegedly involved a 13-year-old victim.

Anthony Bokar has been accused of sexually abusing a 13-year-old girl from Athens County in November 2025, according to Athens County Common Pleas court documents viewed by WBNS.

Bokar, 21, was sexting with the girl, according to the court documents. Their exchanges allegedly included sending and receiving photos and videos. Bokar also reportedly told the girl to wipe her phone of all information and the messages they had shared with each other.

Additionally, Bokar has been accused of purchasing and delivering marijuana to the girl. The pair allegedly came into contact for the first time when Bokar delivered the drugs to the minor.

“He drove to her home and picked her up. Then, [he] drove her to the campus at Hocking College, in which he engaged in oral sex as well as vaginally penetrative sex with a 13-year-old girl,” prosecutors said during a court hearing on Thursday, February 12, viewed by ABC 6. “He also solicited feet pictures from her in exchange for money.”

Prosecutors also said during the hearing that they had just been “informed today that he was soliciting pictures from other juvenile females around the same age: a 13-year-old girl.”

Bokar has been charged with unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, corrupting another with drugs and tampering with evidence.

A $500,000 bond has been set for Bokar, according to ABC 6.

The Fairfield Police Department did not immediately respond to Us Weekly’s request for comment regarding the arrest. It is not currently clear if Bokar has retained legal representation or entered any pleas.

Following his arrest, Ohio State University confirmed that Bokar was a student assistant. The statement added that he has been put on interim suspension.

“These allegations are extremely concerning. The individual in question has been placed on interim suspension and is not currently allowed on campus or at university engagements, including student teaching assignments,” Ohio State spokesperson Ben Johnson said, according to the outlet. “Nothing is more important than the safety of our campus community, and we will assist law enforcement in any way needed. We are unable to comment further given the ongoing investigation.”

A new witness has come forward regarding a teen’s allegations against Timothy Busfield. According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly on Monday, January 19, a witness by the name of Matthew Moore shared testimony in an affidavit regarding allegations against Busfield, now 68, involving a teenage girl more than two decades ago. Moore claimed […]

ABC 6 also spoke to the victim’s father, who shared that his daughter had to be placed on suicide watch after she suffered a mental breakdown at school. Shortly after the breakdown, she revealed the alleged sexual abuse by Bokar to her family.

“You got a little 13-year-old girl who’s in cheerleading — one of the captains of the middle school Buckeyes — and here’s this Buckeye, saying he loves her and giving her drugs and money,” he said. “When she talks, you definitely know she’s a little girl. The verbiage that she uses, the things she talks about, are all childish.”

The father added that he is mainly focused on getting his daughter counseling so that she can process the trauma that Bokar allegedly inflicted on her.

“To say it loud, and to say it to everyone, gives us the power,” he said. “It helps with our healing.”
