American gymnast Suni Lee is full of the same bubbly energy we all witnessed while watching her take home multiple Olympic medals this summer in Paris. But while her many past achievements are awe-inspiring, her future is equally bright — and clearly full of prep for the holidays. Speaking with Us, the 21-year-old pro shared her December plans and a handful of great gift ideas, along with chatting about fashion inspiration and decorating her new apartment.
Like many people, part of Lee’s 2024 holiday plan is to travel home to visit loved ones — which means she’s taking full advantage of Amazon’s StudentUniverse partnership. The retailer has a new, half-price Prime membership for 18-to-24-year-olds and, as a promotion, is currently offering $25 flights, allowing young adults to visit their families without spending a large chunk of money. The promo runs from December 9 to 13, with 1,000 tickets available each day.
“With all the travel I have coming up, I’m going home to see my family,” Lee told Us. “Amazon is teaming up with StudentUniverse to help Prime young adult members travel for less with $25 flights. It’s super exciting and an amazing opportunity for young adults to get flights home, too.”

Lee, who is originally from Minnesota, recently moved to the Big Apple, so in between traveling and looking for last-minute holiday gifts, she’s been in full new-apartment shopping mode. She admitted that her new place is “literally filled with Amazon buys — candles, vases, books, and lamps,” and while she said the city has been “so much fun,” specifically noting its culinary excellence, she knows that it’s also dangerous — for her bank account!
“I could go shopping every day!” she said, adding that New York style has left her inspired. “Everyone dresses differently, with their own style. When I’m walking around, it’s a model-off-duty vibe out there.”
Still, Lee isn’t just about fashion. She also loves her beauty routine and told Us that her goal with makeup is “to enhance my features, not change them.”
“I do everything super light and love a good blush,” she said, revealing that her current favorites are Rhode’s Toasted Teddy and Patrick Ta’s She’s Blushing. “My sister does my eyelash extensions, so I always have those on, and I like to keep my nails on fleek just because we’re always doing photo shoots or going to an event.”
But the gymnast’s current focus isn’t really on herself — it’s actually on her loved ones and snagging some last-minute holiday gifts! According to Lee, Amazon’s virtual gift shop has been a great place to find special items while also avoiding large crowds.
“I like to make sure my gifts are personalized. So, my younger sister, I know she will like all of the [facial] masks, candle warmer lamps, and Gua Sha because she’s getting to that age,” she told Us. She also plans to gift loved ones jewelry and hair claw clips since they are “so easy to give, you don’t even have to think about it. And a lot of skincare and accessories.”
