Prince William and Princess Kate Middleton are gearing up to move homes with their three children.

“The Wales family will move house later this year,” a spokesperson for Kensington Palace confirmed to Us Weekly.

William and Kate, both 43, have been married since 2011 and share three children: Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 6.

The Wales family has been based at Adelaide Cottage in England for the past three years. A royal source told The Sun that William and Kate hope the move will be a “fresh start” for their brood in the wake of Kate’s cancer diagnosis, treatment and recent remission.

Prince William has been putting his best foot forward during public appearances since his wife, Princess Kate Middleton, announced her cancer diagnosis in mid-March, and his visit to St. Mary’s Community Hospital on May 10 was no exception. The future king met with staffers and posed for photos at the facility, located in the Isles […]

Kate took a step back from her public-facing duties last year after she was diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer. The Princess of Wales confirmed her diagnosis in March 2024, taking a hiatus from her royal engagements to undergo chemotherapy. Kate revealed in January that she was in remission.

“You put on a sort of brave face, stoicism through treatment. Treatment’s done, then it’s like, ‘I can crack on, get back to normal,’ but actually, the phase afterwards is really, really difficult,” Kate recalled during an outing at Essex’s Colchester Hospital in July. “You’re not necessarily under the clinical team any longer, but you’re not able to function normally at home as you perhaps once used to.”

She added, “Someone to help talk you through that, show you and guide you through that sort of phase that comes after treatment, I think is really valuable. It’s a roller-coaster. It’s not smooth, like you expect it to be, but the reality is you go through hard times.”

Throughout Kate’s cancer battle, William was a steadfast source of support.

“William’s been very hands-on lately, taking the lead in family activities and routines,” a source exclusively told Us in July 2024. “Kate loves seeing him in this role and it’s strengthened their bond.”
