Rachel Zoe is sharing an important message for parents who let their children ride on e-bikes.
On Saturday, March 1, Zoe, 53, shared in a post via Instagram Story that her son Skyler, 14, had been badly injured in an accident while riding an e-bike.
“For any parent deciding if they should get a f—ing E-BIKE for their child DO NOT,” Zoe wrote, alongside a photo of Skyler in a hospital bed. “I DID NOT and I am a hard no but Sky was on one and been in ER for 9 hours… whoever is being begged by a child to get one HARD NO.”
Zoe added that Skyler had a “badly lacerated kidney, a ton of pain and a shattered mom.”
In a subsequent post via Instagram Story, Zoe wrote, “100 tests later we are still here and I know how much worse this could have been. BUT to all the parents about to cave on the E-BIKE do not. Sky will not be on one for as long as I have a say in his life. HARD NO.”

Skyler isn’t a stranger to dangerous accidents. In December 2020, he made headlines after he fell 40 feet from a ski lift. At the time, Zoe called his quick recovery a “miracle” in a post shared via Instagram.
“Sky is almost 100 percent back to himself after falling 40 feet from a ski-lift less than 48 hours ago,” she wrote at the time. “I cannot yet retell the story as it really happened but @rbermanus and I will heal our pain with time knowing that Sky is OK and stronger than ever.”
She added, “Sky is the bravest little soul that was indeed saved by an angel. To all the parents, please please hug your babies of any age extra tight from us today. Thank you again for your love we truly felt it deeply.”
The Living in Style author had shared details involving her eldest son’s accident one day prior.
“So I don’t typically share like this, but I’m posting this to remind everyone how fragile life is and how it can turn in a minute,” she wrote via Instagram on December 21, 2020. “The outcome is Sky is doing great and the bravest boy I’ve ever known but @rbermanus and I are shattered and numb but woke up together with gratitude for a miracle that Sky is safe and OK.”
Zoe shares sons Skyler and Kaius, 11, with ex-husband Rodger Berman. The pair announced their divorce in September 2024 and, at the time, Zoe revealed the exes were working out a co-parenting arrangement for their children.
“I’m really peaceful and I’m peaceful because my kids are good,” Zoe exclusively told Us Weekly in September,, noting the couple’s two children are “absolutely great.”
