Savannah Guthrie did not hold back when it came to asking Kylie Kelce about her brother-in-law Travis Kelce’s impending wedding to Taylor Swift.
“Do we know? Do we think there’s a wedding this year?” Guthrie, 54, asked Kylie, 33, during the Today show on Friday, January 30.
Kylie replied, “I have no idea.”
Guthrie then asked again, saying, “Do you really not know?” as Kylie smiled and laughed, averting her eyes.
“You’re not gonna lie?” Guthrie added, seemingly referring to the title of Kylie’s podcast. Kylie replied, “Yes,” before laughing.
“You’re not going to get yourself in trouble either, I know,” Guthrie continued. Kylie said, “Never,” as the two women laughed.
“We’re so excited to celebrate, though,” Kylie continued. “We can’t wait.”
Swifties have been foaming at the mouth for any small detail about what will no doubt be the American equivalent of the royal wedding. However, members of Travis’ inner circle will not spill any secrets.
Travis proposed to Swift, 36, in August 2025 after two years together.
“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” the duo captioned a joint Instagram post announcing their engagement at the time.
Kelce proposed in the backyard of his house, which he turned into a garden full of flowers.
“He really crushed it in surprising me. While we were talking on his podcast, he had a complete garden built out the back of his house to propose in,” Swift said of the proposal during an October 2025 appearance on U.K. talk show The Graham Norton Show. “He went all out — 10 out of 10.”
Both Travis and Swift have been questioned about their impending nuptials on several occasions. While they’ve offered a few nuggets about what’s to come, most of the details are being kept under wraps.
“I want to do the album stuff first, and the wedding is what happens after in terms of planning,” Swift said during the same talk show appearance, referring to her The Life of a Showgirl album, which dropped that same month. “I think it will be fun to plan.”
One thing is definitely on the agenda for the couple when it comes to the ceremony and the reception: live music.
“I think we’re live music kind of people,” Travis said on the “New Heights” podcast in September 2025, noting that wedding planning was going to be the “next step” after his football season ended. “I just gotta figure out winning football games first.”
As for who will be taking the stage? Ed Sheeran, for sure. Swift said that it would be “hard to keep” her longtime friend away from a microphone, adding that he will be happy to “give people what they want” on her big day.
“That’s the thing, he’s like, ‘I’m always being asked to sing at weddings,’ and you’re like, ‘Ed, if there’s a stage, you know that you’ll be on it!’” Swift joked on BBC Radio 1 Breakfast in October 2025. “That’s the fun thing about our friendship is we both love performing and we love writing and we love singing.”
